The CP conference is less than a month away. This year's conference
will be very important for the The CP Group because we will be
discussing the future of the organization. Should we attempt to form
regional groups? Should we move the conference to another city? How
can we identify members of The Group who will be willing to assume
leadership positions? (One person stepped up to the plate this year
and did a fantastic job but we still need more people.) How can we
encourage more research concerning CP?
There are many other areas to discuss and your input is needed.
Something happened this year that shows why we need to be more
active. A CP clinic was formed in Washington several years ago. The
objective was to bring together a group of doctors knowledgeable about
CP so that adults would have to spend a lot of time searching for
medical care. But the clinic had to be closed because of lack of
funding.
If we don't pitch in and tackle problems concerning medical care and
other issues facing us, we're in trouble.
So go to the web site
www.TheCPGroup.org and register for the
conference. You help is needed.
While the future of The Group is one theme of the conference, other
issues will also be discussed. Sexuality and relations, alternative
medicine, ways to protect yourselves from violence, and ways to
improve your communication skills are all open for discussion.
Want to talk about another subject?
There will be time for groups to get together and discuss a subject of
their choosing.
And don't forget the free massage and the free reception on opening
night.
Send in your registration now. Go to the web site and send in your
form. You'll be glad you did.
