  Hi &lt;br&gt; Contacting the Loss Mit department is important. Often when you call &lt;br&gt; the lender you will be given the run around. Getting to the right &lt;br&gt; place is 1/2 the battle. If when you call you cannot get a decent &lt;br&gt; answer, ask for a supervisor. Check out the website for your lender &lt;br&gt; prior to contacting them. Many of them have updated their web pages

  Cheryl, &lt;br&gt; What you need to do is contact your mortgage company and ask to speak to &lt;br&gt; someone in Loss Mitigation department. Tell them that you would like to &lt;br&gt; request a loan modification. They will tell you the procedure to follow. &lt;br&gt; Be ready to provide a lot of financial info such as bank statements, tax &lt;br&gt; returns, last pay stubs...etc.
