We love your feedback, and, in order to keep it all in the same place (for now), I'd love it if you'd add your thoughts about the new Doc list to this thread.
Whether you love the new Docs list, don't love the new Docs list, have ideas, suggestions or concerns, please post any comment NOT having to do with a bug, or other malfunction right here.
Thanks!
As always, I'm really looking forward to hearing what you have to say :)
Folders is a great move. Everyone knows what Folders are, but Tags/ Labels still don't make sense to my Dad and others. Now we have the familiar Folder, but a Doc can be in multiple Folders, just like Tags/ Labels.
The Drag and Drop organizing is great as well. Easy, and the interface is fast and responsive.
Personally, I think the new interface is a huge improvement.

It looks a LOT more professional, and is much easier to find what you want. However, I do not like that you have to check a document, and then click on a few other buttons to preview it; before it was much easier when all you had to do was just click on the icon next to the document, and click "Preview" (or Publish, Edit, etc).

Personally I'm not sure about the layout yet. It does seem to be more complicated (looks like a yahoo product) but I may grow to love it once I have worked with it a bit more. I have noticed a few bugs though:
First of all, when I click the "add to folder" icon at the top, the drop down list that appears goes off the screen (I have alot of folders) and there is no scroll bar. Perhapse limit the list to say, 15 items and then let it scroll if the user has more, at the moment I have no way of adding an item to my "Trail Logs" or "Web" folder (or countless others that are off-screen).
Also, when dragging an item to a new folder, it should simply add it, not remove it from the current one.
And when clicking the close button on an open item, it does not close properly anymore, it used to close and the tab on IE7 would jump back to the homescreen, now it opens a completely new homescreen even though the old one is still open.
Keep up the good work - Leif

I like the new organization but a quick suggestion. It's really nice that you have organized it in a manner where I can easily sort documents by user I am sharing it with. However, I would like an easier way to unshare the document with that user. For e.g. I have just realized that I am sharing some documents with colleagues who have left the organization months ago. Once I see this I would like to unshare immediately. Maybe once I select the document, there could be a simple option saying unshare.
Keep up the good work guys!!

I agree, I have this problem alot... perhapse right clicking on a username in the shared with list in the sidebar should allow you to select "Unshare all" or something for said user only. - Leif

I love the folders but how about the option of being able to share entire folders with others so you don't have to update who you're sharing files with every time you add a new file. This way they can see everything and you don't have to spend all of your time managing all of it.
As for the new interface, I believe it's organized well but I'm not so sure I like the design of it. To me, it just doesn't look like it blends in well with the rest of the content above it and makes everything look misplaced.

I love the drag n' drop feature. Otherwise, I liked the old format. One bug I found: in the old format, when you clicked "save & close" it also closed the tab and went back to the main docs & sheets tab. Now it closes the doc and goes to a duplicate main docs & sheets tab. Not very Googlish. I liked the labels a lot better than folders, even though the function is still basically the same. I like the old style where docs would disappear from the main window after 30 days. Now, it looks too busy showing every doc & sheet. The blue bar across the top is too intense. Please tone it down. The style seemed more simple before and I really liked that. The more it looks like Gmail the better. There's my two cents.

Very good Idea, this would be great! It would be nice to have a folder called "Files Shared with Jacob" and I could just drag files there and... well you get the idea. I think I agree with your layout issues too, something just dosn't seem right about it... I just can't make up my mind...
It would be nice if there were some sort of "Global sharing" feature too, so for certain contacts only they could automatically see all of my files and edit them, regardless, unless I specifically deleted them from a file (it could just be a list of contacts that is added automatically to every document upon it's creation or upon the addition of a new user to this list). - Leif
