Hey Nick,
Unfortunately I won't be in the area to join you as I'll be away myself, but
I just wanted to make sure you know that you can't ride the Dish route at
all. It's for pedestrian traffic only and you will probably be ticketed if
you ride there.

That said, there are tons of great rides in the area and hopefully some team

My name is Nick Luker, and I am a member of the UC Davis Cycling
team. I will be spending the Thanksgiving weekend in Palo Alto and
would like to go on any road rides; all I have ever heard of riding is
the Dish.

I plan on joining the Saturday Team Ride. If someone could tell me
the best way from old Palo Alto to the PO, I would appreciate it. I

To continue the Thanksgiving week postings. I will be riding from the post
office at 1:45pm Tuesday, leaving when the bell rings at 2pm. The plan is
to stay on smaller grade hills than today, with a steady pace. Up
Jefferson, then through the Valley, with the option to add Alpine on the way
back.

I definitely just found out how to break a shimano 105 front shifter. Would
anyone have an emergency spare triple shifter (or a cheap front shifter of
any kind) that they wouldn't mind parting with? The future looks pretty
bleak without a big ring. I don't know if I can go on.

Jason
