On 24th Aug. at Patna an official press briefings was done by the state officials relief and rescue Mr. Pratya Amrit(Add.Commissioner), for the first time officially admitted that around
· 10.73 lakh population is effected
· 235NDRF personal,400SAP and400 regular police are deployed for rescue operation along with 150 boat 23 motor boat and
· 10990 food packets has been dropped till date.

The above official figures itself elaborates the efforts made and its capability to handle the situation which may further deteriorate beyond control any time if further rain continue as being reported in the catchments areas falling in Nepal .
12 Thousands of people have taken shelter at East-West Corridor NH between Pratapgang and Raghopur since 19th with support of neighbours's support still the state rescue operation has not been streamlined .
As per the report coming in the NDRF Rescue team is just arriving with it's gadget for evacuate thousands of people still trapped in the countryside areas loosing all the communication linkages.Th e most effected Blocks are
· Basantpur(100%),
· Chattapur(100%),
· Pratapgang(100%),
· Trivenigang(60%),
· Raghopur(40%) where almost 3.5-4lakh population are being trapped.

themedia report hundreds of people are drowned out of which 50 were washed away
only in Balua village of Basantpur Block unfortunately the native place of the
