Mind if I ask what happened?  Just curious, as a fellow nudist

My understanding is that some of the problem Cheri has with Carolina
Foothills Resort is where Cheri's husband assaulted 2 people there
after Cheri and her husband had been given an hour to pack and leave
as they had been thrown out for actions on Cheri's part.

But without knowing anything from Cheri herself it is difficult to
make an informed judgement for oneself based on the facts of the
reason for the apparent discontinuation of the previous vocal support
for Carolina Foothills Resort, as she has posted in numerous online
places.

I should point out that I don't have any personal issue with Cheri.
(although maybe I should) Never met her, although well aware of her
and her views over a number of years.

My beef is with a Nudist place being discredited without foundation in
fact.

Simple as that.

Tony,  As any real Southern gentleman would do he was protecting my
honor and integrity as well as his own.  When someone calls you a
liar, don't you call him out?    I may get yelled at by my attorney,
but I think you need to know what really happened.

May 24, 2009: That morning in the clubhouse, I was again getting more
people to sign up for Government Affairs alerts on my laptop.  There
are now about 21 more on the alert list from the Carolinas.  These
past two years, SC had a bad anti-nudity bill that would have changed
the way the nudist parks operate.

I read out to one of my long-time members an email I had just written
to someone wanting to visit CFR that day.
To: "Dave"   <xxx...@earthlink.net>
CFR is a great place to visit.  Weather is rainy but the liquid
sunshine can't stop the relaxation and de-stressing.  Hot tub is great
as are the people. Come out and visit.

I was confronted by Dave & Gary and another who said that I read it
out and included a last sentence to the effect that I said, "come on
out there's lots of fxxxxxng going on behind the bushes."    Alice,
Ed's girlfriend, is the one who supposedly heard me.  FYI - a police
officer was in the clubhouse at the time as well.

Those who know me, know I abhor profanity.   In no way have I or did
I say anything other than Carolina Foothills is a great place.   On
the last visit (Labor Day weekend 08), a long time member there stated
that she was a swinger but did not do anything on grounds.

Dave also said that he has gotten phone calls and emails saying that I
scare people, and that I don't represent AANR-East.   I said that I am
AANR-Eastern  Region's Government Affair Captain and that CFR is one
of the clubs I work with under AANR's Marketing Specialists.   Two
years ago, I was asked by a CFR member to please try to stay awake
walk around the grounds making sure it is still a family-friendly
nudist park .   I was later told by others that the "reason some were
scared is that they were overtly trolling for fresh meat or doing
whatever out in the open after dark."

This past week, I received a call from a member of CFR who is not
renewing because a member of their board could not keep his hands to
himself; that the climate has changed from the family park to
something we fight against.

The president asked if an hour work for us to leave the premises.
That totally floored Allen and me.  One of the ladies who was working
with Government Affairs and a member there, started to cry.

From a former president of CFR:
Hello Cheri,
The events of yesterday have me deeply troubled.

As with any confrontation with emotional undertones there are always
"six sides to the story" and I know I haven't heard all the facts
surrounding this most unfortunate event yesterday.

From what I have heard thus far I can't believe the actions taken by
the three Board members you dealt with David (President), Gary (Vice
President) and Chuck (Member at Large); a minority on the Board that
appear to have the interests of the other minority you mentioned here
at CFR at heart.

David as president of CFR or any other Board member should have
welcomed you to tour the grounds at any hour with confidence that our
club projects a family atmosphere. I can't say that is the case as it
was in the past when I was President and welcomed you or other
representatives from AANR, or in the years prior. If anything they
have made efforts to restrict Board members other than himself or Gary
from taking actions to control behavior during events, and selecting
members for Security that turn a blind eye towards a select group.

If David or his wife Michelle (and I will get in trouble for saying
this) as she seemingly drives every committee at CFR would have taken
the time to work with you in years past, as you and I have, they
surely would have gained a better understanding of the importance of
marketing and public relations and gained respect for all you've done
for CFR..Perhaps then our club instead of growing each year, wouldn't
have shrunk by as much as 20% (from 98 memberships to a low of 78
memberships this January) as it has under the guidance of this pair.
And yes, as you eluded to with your example, it seems like it is the
good people we lose.

I've known you all these many years and have found you to be nothing
but postive towards CFR, and understanding of the political battles
and struggles that our COOP structure seems to continually invite. I
know personally how hard you have worked to promote CFR both within
AANR, and outside through promotion of special events to bring new
people to nude recreation and CFR.

Mention of your character and use of language really need not be made
as your reputation within the AANR circles preceeds you.

It was a late evening for Verna and myself last evening as I took the
time to speak to a couple other Board members to voice my extreme
concern over what happened to you yesterday. I will continue to voice
my opinions and stress the need for action on the part of the other
Board members and the membership as a whole to correct and make
ammends for this incident.

I assure you with Board elections coming in July and the direction of
CFR held hostage by every election; I will be very vocal about the
quality of candidates and the direction that CFR must take to grow and
maintain the atmosphere in which any AANR member will be comfortable.
As a full-time resident and past President of CFR with this club at
heart I take this very seriously. I will continue to be vocal about
the direction this club, and the election candidates that I believe
will work towards taking us in the right direction.

I will continue to get at the facts of yesterday and recruit other
members to voice the opinion that the Board needs to take immediate
action to rectify yeasterdays action by the three you dealt with. Let
me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
