Mike's is the first report of large snout numbers that I know of.
This fits well with the eight inch rain that David Dauphin reported for Mission over the first 10 days of July, given that snouts can complete their life cycle in 16 days.

Since we didn't know about the post-Dolly cleanup gangs at NABA and other areas, we were unemployed this weekend and went lurking around any place we could get into for a couple of hours each afternoon. We found only 40-odd species, but large numbers of individual butterflies, and the Snouts were swarming.
