To set the scene im using google sketchup to mimic a transport system that i hope to incorporate in my local home town. I intend of trying to development from the ULTRA transit system. I have started me design however i have encountered some difficuities.
the main problem is that the transit system is curved at the sides so my design is likewise concave but now when i attemppt to add a window or simple rectangle it cuts through the curve and naturally is not what i need. I f you search the images of ULTRA transit system you may have a better idea of what im describing. I need and feedback ro suggestions on how to design a window on a curved surface; im sure its possible just that im not experienced or that patient, lol.

I saw your wagon and I must advice that the use of sliding doors is mandatory in your experiment. Hardly any train system I know uses revolving doors because they are way too dangerous to use in moving transport units. Notice that at the most buses use accordion-like double folding doors but never revolving ones.
Only vans use them and they tend to be locked for long trips rather than short, frequent stop opening.
Try extruding a thick section of doors, grouping them and having them slide sideways into the wagon walls.
Thanks very much for your response however it was sort of irelavant but fully appreciated.
I am aiming to create a window like image on the curve ends of my "wagon", since the design is 3d and curved it ineviatbly cuts through the curved axis so prevents me from placing a window across the outer surface as hoped.
