The passing of such a good dog is to be lamented by all of us who care about the
Seppala. He was undergoing the Pet Passport in Canada in preparation for his
arrival in the UK. It is very sad that this did not happen, as there is so
much enthusiasm for the Seppala here. The death of Boris is a loss to us all.

Hey Cherly, did you see how much Caesar looks like Katie. There is
another litter from Rambo that has another pupt that will look very
similar to them both. I will get pictures posted soon!

That is wonderful Cheryl. A couple more dogs and you will be a
rocket :-) I think you should come up for the Casper Charity Race in
2009. There are short events that are perfect for beginners and small
teams. Everyone has lots of fun there too.

I've seen several Seppalas have seizures. Mostly genetic predisposed. And unfortunately the onset is at 4-6 years old, after most of them have been bred already, passing it on to next generation. Other causes can be underlying diseases, even (really) bad allergies can cause it, sometimes other brain disorders are the underlying cause.

i signed on to this website because i have a seppala that was brought in to be put down by unwanting owners. it was at the vet where my wife works. i have 20 2nd chance sleddogs that i run with 3 sleds and 2 carts. i met my wife when she was trying to rehome a husky that was abused and dumped out in the country. she is the president and the director of the local humane society. i don't know where you people are from or where you fit in to the world of sleddogs, but you are just plain GOOFY. don't waste your time replying,i'm off of this site as of now.
