going up as fast as prices?
Every once in a while you get hit with reality. Mostly you can't
quite remember the exact price you paid for something a couple of
years ago so real price increases are a bit fuzzy. But then you
find an old receipt for the exact item you just bought.
In my case it was a prescription that on February 4th, 2007 cost
me $12.68. Yesterday I got the same amount of the same old, and
cheap to make drug, for $18.74. This 148% more in about 860 days.
Don't recall the proper formula for calculating the inflation
but a quick check on spreadsheet says that is almost 18% per year
compounded.
Don't you just wish....
