Progress: IRS grants EIN to SMAC

Today, the IRS has notified SMAC of its assigned tax identification
number. This will permit donors to specify donations to SMAC for
purposes of deductions for charitable donations. The number is 26-2 *

Great news!! Yahoo, in its attempt to compete with Google's Gmail,
has established a new domain for Yahoo email users, "ymail.com." If
you want to grab an easy-to-remember e-mail address, register a new
yahoo identity now.

The old address, SMAddict...@gmail.com will still work, and is
actually easier for me to check, but the new one will clearly look

Yes!!! SMAC, Ltd is now a legal entity. IRS certification as a 501(c)
(3) is still pending, but the State of Maryland has now finally got
around to incorporating the organization as a legal entity. The first
$5000 of contributions can legitimately be claimed as charitable
contributions for tax purposes, even before IRS certification.
