Dear Members & Supporters;
Many of us are dealing with the turbulent economic times, and unfortunately
our organization has been affected by this as well. In recent months the
costs of utilities, rent, supplies, and other expenses associated with the
operation of the Research Center have drastically increased and although
attendance at events has been on the rise, donations and income have
significantly dropped. It has simply become too great an expense to cover,
and it is with great regret that I must announce the need to close our
Library & Research Center effective June 30th.
Our organization remains - as it always has - fully committed to the study
and investigation of unexplained phenomena, and to creating and providing a
place where individuals can find accurate information, openly discuss their
thoughts and experiences, and participate in events that explore these
subjects. For many years we operated and grew without a physical space by
utilizing meeting space at libraries, restaurants, businesses, and community
locations. We will not be going away!
Though having the Research Center presented many advantages, we have already
arranged options that will continue our events and our work, and will simply
result in some restructuring of the way things are presented. Our sincere
hope is that things will become better in the near future, and with your
continued support and assistance we will be able to have an SGRA location
again!
Thank you,
Jon Nowinski
