Subject: The Google dance becomes a tango
Hello the Google Search Engine Optimization

I work for the UK arm of Google. May I ask if your site is hosted on a
non US server?

I have just dicsovered that Google engineers are now targetting
English language sites that aren't hosted out of known US-based ISPs

Anyone who has a .net, .org or .com site hosted outside the USA is now
being dropped to the very end of the search results

This is supposedly being done as an anti spam measure, as most spam
sites are written in English but hosted from China India, Australia
Hong Kong and other countries

Of course, if you are a legitimate web site business and your content
is written in English but not hosted in the USA happy ****ing
Christmas dude as yo've just been screwed.

More worrying is a friend of mine who has just been posted to the
Google buziness in America he says that the move to give prefference
to USA sites has been agreed after the politicians there put the big
squeeze on the G's management

So much for do no evil --- right.
