Hi Folks,
The bookings are now open for The Great British Salsa Experience 08 the event which replaces the Brit SalsaFest that we all liked so much and lost this year. Early bird prices are available until April 30th. I'm organising a group booking which will give you £5 discount on the advertised prices.
We need at least 10 to get the group started.
I require payment in full as there is no deposit system.
The earlier you book the better chance you have of getting a place in your desired workshop.
If interested email (salsa...@blueyonder.co.uk) me with your full name, email address, telephone number and preferred dancing style (On1, On2 or Cuban). Booking cannot be taken without a valid email address for each person as this will be used to book your workshops.

Regards
 Lloyd

Overview (from promotors)
The event will be an upmarket, city centre congress (we have a fabulous 1500 capacity venue) with 2 days of workshops, 3 late night parties and showcases, and an international line-up of instructors/performers/DJs.

One exciting difference with this event is that we are seeking to alleviate workshop overcrowding (by far the biggest complaint about Brit Salsafest) by using a Workshop Pre-Booking Scheme which requires all participants to book their workshops when they buy tickets.  Tackling workshop overcrowding means we have had to:
  • significantly increase the number of workshops from 60 at Brit Salsafest to over 80 at GBSEx
  • limit participants to either 4, 6 or 8 workshops depending on the ticket they buy
  • band classes to ensure that everyone, no matter when they buy tickets, has an opportunity to do classes with some of the biggest named teachers.

The Benefits of Workshop Pre-Booking
All this doesn’t mean that certain workshops won’t be large but it will ensure workshop numbers are comfortable and reflect the amount of floor space we have.  Pre-booking means:

  • limited numbers in workshops
  • most workshops will be smaller than usual
  • students’ learning experience at the event will be significantly improved
  • students can see the workshop schedule before they buy tickets
  • we are able to add in additional workshops to reflect demand
  • students can plan their own personal workshop schedule well in advance
  • students won’t be turned away from any workshops on the day.

Ticket Pricing
We’re running an Early Bird offer with £10 (£15 if you join my group!)off tickets until 30 April 08.  After that, there will be no ticket price increase in the run up to the event and no deposit system.  This is in an attempt to simplify ticket buying. Participants are incentivised to buy earlier rather than later because they’ll have a greater choice of workshops the earlier they buy.
