Well by now you know the score and have seen the results from the S20.com site. We finished 10th with a best of a 2nd and 4th. But the terrible truth is that the second and third races on day two. We a mess because I crossed the halyards when rigging the Genoa. After careful analysis of what had kept our spinnaker from coming down on three different takedowns it boiled down to crossed halyards. What a simple elementary mistake. But my guys sailed better than we ever have, and did a heroic job saving a 23 and 24 finish with the most god awful cluster you can imagine.

 S20 sailors

i have found a A frame hoist that is perfect for lifting S20 off the
trailer and working on the bottom of the boat.

Britt and I are going to make an offer on this and wanted to see if
anyone else was interested in splitting the cost.

[link]

Bob's blue boat and Fayest had a 1-2 and a 2-1 giving Bob,Bill and Dendra the tie-breaker at the end of the first day. Sunday saw a little better wind, and Fayest got an advantage on the start and never looked back. The second race saw building winds and a change to Jib, If B3 wins this one we still have a tie and they win the tie breaker. Both B3 and Fayest were over early and after restarting, wound up on opposite sides of the course. Supernatural was first to the weather mark with B3 second by a foot and Fast in third position and Tomorrow on our heals. We were able to climb up close to B3 and jibe away, covering their air and pulled away by 30 yards. A down wind finish saw B3 catching a gust and closing the 30 yard gap, we tried to defend but were forced to jibe to clear our air and beat Bob by a foot, Supernatural first. Bill bond showed signs of extreme anxiety as his knuckles and muscles in his face flexed and turned white. The third race of the day saw building winds and we were able to get a good start and put a loose cover on for a windward finish and the over all win. B3 finished second, with Tomorrow third and Supernatural forth. Banks sails gave us great boat speed and Flint and Mitch were able to give us great crew work that resulted in a win. OCBC did an outstanding job running the event.

OKIES RAID WEATHERBY, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF GREAT HOSPITALITY AND WELL ORGANIZED EVENT AND ESCAPE WITH THE GOLD.
Lake Weatherby, Commodore Scott Jackman, Regatta Chair Paul Fetterman, organized to the extreme, added a double dose of hospitality and graciously presented team Fayest with the gold for both the Santana fleet and Handicap fleet as well. Banks Sails and great crew work from Flint Johnson and Mitch Moses allowed team Fayest to beat a very competitive S20 fleet and 3 very fast Sonars to take home two beautifuly crafted gold medalions as momentos of our visit to an incredible place full of fun and gracious people.

Banks sails helped us win the Spring Open along with great crew work from Flint Johnson and Mitch Moses who pulled our new spinnaker out of the water and the starboard sheet back forward and onto the boat while only loosing 5 boat lengths to win race #4. Unbelievable effort by Flit and Mitch. IV McNamara and crew were second and our old friend and sail maker Roger Kerr was third on his San Juan 21. A great time was had by all ( all on S-20's) as the wind were 0 to 8 and back again. Saturday morning saw more of the same with winds finally going to 0 and race 5 being abandoned.
