would like to inform you that for the entire month of January I have
been designing, sewing and making clothes for the Runway Show. The show
will be at the Anchor 712 West 4th Ave. The show will take place on
Sat., Feb. 6th. The show begins at 7:30 pm and runs until it is
finished. I have pasted ticket information to the bottom of this
email. Our judges for the runway show will be Christopher Straub of Project Runway, Ellen Arvold of Second Run Consignment, artist Annie Aube and Kelly Ryan. There will be a winner announced that night by the judges. There will be prizes for our other finalists as well and an audience-choice award. Free passes to the event are available to artists and models only. Family and friends will need to purchase tickets. Tickets can be purchased online at www.igcaalaska.org or at the International Gallery, 427 D Street, or at the Anchor, 712 West 4th Avenue). They are $15 until the day of the show, $20 on the day of the show. More info: Location for the First Friday for Feb. 5th: International Gallery will have a preview of the Runway Show. FIRST FRIDAY: The International Gallery will be full of hangers anticipating their garments. We will be selling tickets to the event that night as well. Time: 5:30-7:30pm. The second location is the Fiddlehead Gallery. The Fiddlehead is still featuring a lot of my pieces. Fiddlehead Gallery is located in downtown Anchorage. Location #3: KAKM Studios is located at the entrance of APU. I have donated a painting to the KAKM Auction next weekend. More details about the show can be found below. Hello Talented Artists and Donors, I want to thank you for the beautiful art pieces that you have donated to the 2010 KAKM Art Showcase. People are already roaming the building in "awe" and we have more visitors everyday. The official free and open to the public Art Preview, Pre Bid, Pre Buy Open House will run from 1 to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, February 6 and 7 ...you are all invited. Please come by if you can. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call, my direct line is 550-8432. The auction catalog will be out next week and available at the Preview. All of the showcase artwork photos and artists are listed on our websites both kakm.org and kska.org, just click on the art showcase button and get all the details. Promotions are being made on KAKM Channel 7 and KSKA radio. We also have sent out 1000's of postcards inviting people to view your work. We are happy to tell people about you and your work and are so very grateful to each of you for your support. Thank you for making my job of putting this event together such a wonderful experience over the last 3 years. Meeting as I say the "faces behind the talent" and viewing the inspiring work is delightful. Thank you once again for your support.
