CMS with internationalization

I have a client that wants to display their site in multiple
languages... They don't have a CMS for their site
right now, but they WILL need one if they want to do this. Any
recommendations on open source CMS
software that makes i18n as easy as possible? (I know it won't be
easy, nothing ever is!)

idea is this Friday. I'd love to see an army of Refreshers giving talks.
For what it's worth (and not at all surprising), panel submissions so far

Super handy WordPress function I finally stumbled across

This thing totally saved my bacon. It's a simple function that tests
if a pages is within a hierarchy (such as when you want to style
different sections of a site differently).
