Join Knowbility for the eighth annual AIR-Interactive competition, in which professional Web developers will create exciting, media-rich and imaginative Web sites for local artists, arts organizations and musicians. The best sites will then be chosen according to how accessible they are to everyone, including people with disabilities.

The Accessibility Internet Rally Interactive (AIR-Interactive) is a unique, award-winning program that has received local and national media coverage. Its purpose is to match teams of Web designers and developers with non-profit arts organizations, bands, musicians and artists to help make the Web more accessible for people with disabilities.

Web Developers:

This is no ordinary AIR competition. AIR-Interactive is your chance to really shine as developers, and participate in one of the most happening events in Austin – the SXSW Interactive Media Festival, held each year along with the SXSW Music and Film conferences.

As a competing development team, you will:

1. Be matched with a worthy artist or arts organization.
2. Create an exciting, interactive Web experience that is accessible to everyone.
3. Network with area artists, Web professionals and other really cool people.
4. Attend an incredible Kick-Off party, where you will be matched with and meet your arts partner.
5. Gain free access to the SXSW Interactive Tradeshow Floor where you can check out all the the latest tech toys.
6. Have a more relaxed time frame in which to complete your development project. In other AIR competitions, you have only 8 hours to code. But in AIR-Interactive, you have a full month, from February 3 to March 3, giving your team the opportunity to create something really special.
7. Continue to develop your skills with more training and take away training materials. Experienced Knowbility instructors will teach:
   • Basic Training Class
   • Advanced Training Class
   • Multimedia Training Class
   • Basic JAWS Testing Class
8. And finally, attend a fabulous awards party where you will feast on fantastic food!
