பல வருட காலமாக புத்தளம் சாஹிரா தேசிய கல்லூரியில் கணித பாட ஆசிரியராக தனது கடமையை செய்து வந்த திரு. தய்யூப் ஆசிரியர் அண்மையில் தனது 38 வருடகால சேவையின் பின் ஓய்வு பெற்றார். அவரை கௌரவிக்கும் முகமாக பாடசாலை நிர்வாகத்தினால் பல நிகழ்ச்சிகள் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்டன. அதன் ஒரு கட்டமாக ஆசிரியரின் பிரியாவிடை வைபவத்தின் போது, தமது கருத்துக்களையும் அனுபவங்களையும் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டார். இவர் தமது கடமையில் கண்ணியம், கட்டுப்பாட்டுடன் தமது சேவையினை சமூகத்திற்காக ஆற்றியதாக பல ஆசிரியர்கள் பாராட்டி பேசினர். மேலும் இவர் சாகிறா கல்லூரியில் 12 வருட காலம் சேவை ஆற்றியது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

புத்தளம் சாஹிரா கல்லூரியின் ஊடகப்பிரிவினரால் அண்மையில் "பயனுறுதி வாய்ந்த ஊடகமும், குழு முயற்சியும்" என்ற தலைப்பிலான பயிற்சிப்பட்டறை புத்தளம் சாஹிரா கல்லூரி அஸ்வர் மண்டபத்தில் இடம்பெற்றது. அதன் போது கல்லூரியின் ஊடக அமைப்பு மாணவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு பயன் பெற்றதோடு, அவர்களுக்கு சான்றிதழ்களும் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
