I think I have had this problem before, but I don't remember how I
fixed it. However it is happening again and was wondering if anyone
has the same problem or have a fix for it.

I can successfully create and connect to PAL2.0, however when I
disconnect or get disconnected from it, re selecting connect to Hidden
Wireless Network grayed out the password box and it is empty,
disabling me from connecting.

I heard that this is a bug but am not sure if it has been filed since
my current attempt to search for a solution for this fails greatly.

Hopefully there is a fix for this.

Thank you and have a great day.

Try deleting and recreating the PAL2.0 profile.

I didn't have this problem under Ubuntu 9.04, but now encounter it since
I've installed (clean install, not upgrade) 9.10. It's not just PAL2.0
for me: I can't select any WPA-encrypted network from the hidden
networks dialog box. I can connect to them just fine if they're
broadcast, but if the SSID is hidden I have to re-enter the info.

You mean like this?

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/449287

It's a known bug, still waiting on a fix. If you feel like recompiling
the source of network-manager-applet though, you can put a band-aid on
the situation with the patch I submitted on there.

I don't use Ubuntu now, but when I was usung 9.04, I thought wicd was
easier to use:
http://www.ubuntugeek.com/wicd-wired-and-wireless-network-manager-for-ubuntu.html

and here's excellent instructions on how to connect to PAL2.0 with
wicd. Take a look at this before installing wicd so you can get the
packages first (if you have internet in the first place)::
