Aneela Riazuddin resigned from Online because of nepotistic Afzal Bajwa
Bullshit hiring is on its way in Online News Network under the kind
authority of Editor Afzal Bajwa, a very good reporter of a newspaper,
the nation; but incompetent enough to run a news agency.
He is killer
of pioneer staff working at Online, even long serving deputy editor Aneela Riazuddin resigned a couple of days before because of bullshit
hiring of incompetent people on high salaries.
Mr. Bajwa you really
need to check your behavior. Be a journalist.
Ripples@Bajwa
It is great shcok to learn that aneela has left she was a great team leader and had worked with sincerity and dediction for Online for the past 12 years.... Lots of people learned from her and today are working in esteemed newspapers and channels.. its a great loss for Online...God Bless Online.....

These organizations usually never meant to honor the work and dedication of any worker (journalist) who had been working for them day to night with their energies…… however to me this time Online has lost its one of the key employee Aneela who has a long-contribution in making this organization as successful. But on the same time quoting a mother organization would be fruitful for both Badar and Aneela……wishing them all the best in future.

How are you all?
Press Pakistan is a good forum to debate issues. But unfortunately some friends,
only to show their personal hate and professional jelousy, indulge in malicious
character assassination of others.
Several journalists are using resignation of madam Aneela and his colleague to
accuse editor online for their resignation. I have checked with Online
colleagues. Aneela and her colleague had resigned on their own and they have
never been asked to resign or sacked.
Online people say madam Aneela was given new responsibility in the office as
such changes routinely takes place everywhere. But she and her close man, a
former non-journalist, quit after their requests for long leaves were not
accepted.
Those who put blame on the editor should also ask people in online how she
affected performance of the agency. And how she had been victimizing her
juniors?
And critics should also read newspaper in recent weeks and they would judge
Aneela poor performance. And her so-called supporters must get information about
Online people what problems she had created in the agency? She had crated rift
within the staff members.
Journalists must use this press forum for healthy debate and not to malign
others. They must first look at their own performance before calling others
incompetent.

Dear all,
The take off of Online news agency was good but now its on decline and reason is
it lost good human resource(journalists). Aneela Riazuddin is seasoned and
experience copy editor and had great contribution in English service of the
Online and after her resignation news agency would further suffer. The
management of the agency should not only review their working conditions but
should also give more incentives to their staffers so that they continue work
with dedication and committment. We heard the agency has got lucrative PR
contracts worth millions but a percentage of the whole money should also be
spent on the working journalists. There is no doubt that ionline's rival news
agencies are working well and getting more space in the print media.

Good Afternoon, As far as Mr. Afzal Bajwa is concerned, i can say with gurantee that he is a thorough professional and a good fellow. He is possibly being criticzed for his professional competency which is unfair.
Thanks

I agree with Waheed's views and there is no iota of doubt that the Online news agency were flourshing and was professional atmosphere in the organisation. But since Mr. Bajwa has taken over the charge of editor the dowfall of organisation started. Incompetant people are being recuited and in many cases, replaced with professional and hardwork employees. Those epmloyees who are good and quick in pleasing him with undue favours and compliments are on way to "success". For example, Nisar and Manzoor Dar (Zia). All this has impacted agency standard and its output. The standard has gone down disastically. Unfortunately despite being such a senior journalist, Mr. Bajwa rarely writes any story and rely on pick-ups from various websites. Such poor standards of journalism cannot be tolerated by professionals and that's why, people like Aneela and Badar - pioneers of the agency - left it. Aneela has been mentor for so many young chaps in the journalism as she trained them to excel. Afzal Bajwa has become a bad omen for journalist community. The employees are missing tenure of Sohail Sahab and Sidque sajid.. I appreciate the decision of Aneela Riazuddin and Badar.. and one more thing Bajwa will not leave the Online because he was getting Rs. 25000 to 30000 from nation and now getting more than One lakh from Online by pleasing the seniors through different tactics. The seniors especially Karachi bureau are also worried about Online especially after Aneela and Badar left. So many good reporters have also left Online. Good and competent Sub editors have also left the agency just because of Bajwa.God bless Online.
