Dear all,

Multiple sources within AAJ TV informed that financial position of AAJ TV is currently very poor and TV channel has no sufficient funds to pay salaries to its employees for the last two and half months. Today (15th of April) AAJ TV Employees are still waiting for their February salary. "The AAJ management headed by Mr Asif Zuberi, refused to pay employees dues saying the company doesn't have enough funds. "Sources claimed. Mr. Zuberi reportedly blamed non recovery of advertising revenue behind the nonpayment of employees' salaries.
"Shameless Zuberis, who give people lesson on morality and ethics in fact themselves, are biggest liars and looters and anti-workers. They are not even paying Income Tax, they are not paying dues to their contractors and suppliers and now they are not paying salaries to their employees. Zuberis have funds to spend on their luxurious holidays in Europe and US but not for their loyal workers, who are giving their days and nights to build Zuberis rotten channels." One of the angry employees expressed.
Sources further informed that employees of AAJ TV in Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta also staged a token strike last week in protest over delay in salaries. Poor employees are running pillar to post just to know when they will get pay, but still getting no answer. They appealed to PFUJ, Government of Pakistan and other media watchdogs to take action against such TV channels.

Dear All, I am the PR and marketing Asst manager at Aaj TV, i think its injustice to use the kind of words that has been used in this article sure the salaries got a little delayed but then with the current situation one cannot blame the company, as for the channel. its been our source for bread and butter for the last 5 years, its a bunch of new people who have no loyalty, when you have disagreements with your family or friends you don't go around bad mouthing them. kindly take off thsi article and how did you guys added us all on this ????

Dear All
It is very sad to read about such a 'bad mouthing' from a frivolous ID like Jawad who always write such garbage about media.
I have a long association with Business Recorder (for six long years) and believe you me that it was the golden period of my career. After working with more than half of dozen organizations (Dawn, The News, The Nation) in my brief career of 22 years, I still believe that they are amongst breed of best employers available in the media industry now a days. They, at least, consider themselves human being and so deal their employees as 'human beings', a rare phenomenon in exiting scenario of media industry.

The financial crises are  just for the innocent employees, who always being loyal and  beneficiary for the channel.

Working with the group like ARY and AAj  become a financial nightmare for the employees who are just for awaiting for the salaries.

The owner and the key post holder got huge salaries and governmental gifts = Bribes for making their own bank statements better and brighter, some time they tries to make their "AKHRAT"  better as well by performing "Rahmani Hajj".

but end of the day the worker have to suffer, why?  If these group enjoying benifits from the hidden ways so why  they are not sharing with  their employees, can't provide them on time salaries?

For all those who are so called standing up for their right and voicing their opinion , sound like people who have good morals and ethics, than why would they so want to be a part of such unethical, shameless and nightmare employers/organizations??!! Why complain sweetheart??

The world is waiting out there for you.....go get it!!

If these organizations are soooo cruel to all employees and as you put it " they are making their Akharat better by performing Hajj and taking bribes than why eat haram? Funny that ppl complain about these unethical ways of earning and yet they all want to be a part of it!

You have the right to make a choice.....and if you choose to stick around than you really cant complain!! :-)
