Greetings awaken ones,

I discovered polyphasic sleep a few days ago and am very interested
in trying it. I am at home and have plenty of free time on my hands so
I don't mind being sleep-deped for the week to come.

I will be working in August and will have to wake at 5:00 and will
finish my shift by 12:00. I would like to adapt to an everyman 3
schedule but the 7 hours non stop seems to make it impossible for me.
Therefore I turn towards an everyman 2 schedule that would look
something like :
core 00:30 - 5:00
nap1 12:30 - 12:50
nap2 18:30 - 18:50
which would give me these lengths of up time :
7h30mn (morning)
6h40mn(afternoon)
6h40mn(evening)

Can someone please :
- confirm that 7h30 non stop after the core is innapropriate for
everyman3
- that it is not a problem on everyman2

Happy napping,

rook

I don't know about your specific situation, but I have been polyphasic
for more than a month now and I have a 10 hour chunk in which I do not
nap (for work) I do 130-430, 6-620, 440-5 and 940-10 and it works
just fine. It's really a matter of adjusting and is really flexible
once you are adjusted, especially with the everyman schedule.
Sometimes I sleep at 1, sometimes I sleep at 2, and I still feel like
a million bucks after each nap. I don't take an extra nap on the
weekends during what would be my work hours, just so I stay
consistent.
I'd say 7 hours and 30 minutes is just fine although I've never done
just two naps.

great, my guess is it will be easier to stay awake for a long chunk
with a longer core so I should have no problem from that.

many thanks
