The Plattsburgh Community Garden Group is holding our annual spring garden kick-off and plot assignment lottery this Saturday, April 20th, from NOON until 2PM at ROTA Gallery (50 Margaret St).

Our Agenda is as follows:
1) Annual Meeting
- Update on Status and Finances for Community Garden Group
- Election of Board of Directors
- Update on Hoses and garden expansion at Penfield Garden
2) Plot Assignment Lottery
- New gardeners will be assigned to available plots.
- Anyone requesting a second plot will be assigned after all new gardeners are assigned.
- Gardeners moving from the no longer available Hulbert Garden will be assigned our newest 12 plots from expansion.
3) Post-assignment "Community Gardening Workshop"
- Learn or reinforce what it means to garden in a community garden
- identify opportunities for you to support the garden
- ask any questions you may have about the upcoming garden season
4) A Seed Exchange will be on-going during the event. Please bring any seeds you may have in excess to share. Cover crop seeds will be available.
REMINDER - April 27th is our first work day. We will be joined by volunteers from the United Way Day of Caring and we'll do our garden expansion if the weather is right. We hope to remove sod so we can till and shovel the 12 new plots we'll be adding this year. We also hope to begin the work necessary to use attended hose watering in the garden this year, rather than require bucket watering.
