Subject: EXIF data (GPS, Camera etc) lost when uploading photos from a Mac
G'day!

I have a number of photos in iPhoto 08, which are geotagged, that I
want to upload to Picasa Web Albums. I have tried three different
methods of uploading and none upload the EXIF data with GPS and the
correct caption:

1. Picasa Web Albums Uploader (latest version). 3 photos were exported
from iPhoto using the standard iPhoto Export function. These were then
uploaded using Picasa Web Ablums Uploader with the actual size option
(as they were already exported to the size I wanted). All the EXIF
data is present except for the GPS co-ordinates

2. Upload via the Picasa web page using Safari 3.1.1. The same 3
exported photos from #1 were uploaded. Here all the EXIF data is
included (GPS too) except this time the captions are all blank!

3. iPhoto Picasa plugin. Uploaded using the "Faster" setting. Here the
captions are correct, but none of the EXIF data has been loaded.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I found another thread which last had
activity in September 2007, but was apparently being followed by a
Google staffer, so I'm going to post there:

I've been seeing this too. It was annoying enough that you couldn't
upload compressed photos in any way and have the data read but now it
doesn't function at all.
