Subject: Please Rethink the discontinuation of Hello
Please rethink the decision to discontinue the Hello product. There
are many of us here in the digiscrapping world that use this as our
primary means of communication. Especially for those of us that
actually do design work, it allows a quick means of bouncing new and
interesting ideas off each other in real time with the support of the
screen shot feature.

To be honest, if Hello is discontinued and the ability to share real
time screens with others in your other programs, then you will
probably find that many of us will be moving on to another program.

Again, please rethink this decision... not asking for new features,
but asking that it just continue to have some level of maintenance.

Thank you,
Mique Walcutt

I completely agree with Mique.  I use hello every day.  I love being
able to quickly share (simply and quickly) images, ideas, weblinks,
etc.

Since I heard that hello would no longer be a supported application,
I've searched for alternatives, but have not found anything that
compares.

In the words of Ming Ming from Wonderpets, "This is SEWIOUS"

I live on Hello because it allows me as a designer to show my clients
the screen I am working on real time. It also allows me to communicate
with other designers who work for my business and mentor them through
the design process, or get myself some mentoring!

I will definitely be looking for another service with the ability to
share photos and my screen and will not be able to stay with anything
that doesn't offer that functionality, as will several of my contacts
I am sure.

i credit hello for leading to some very good friendships of mine all
over the US, and i credit hello for my transition from crafter to
artist.  i do not want to lose this program.

i have been trying other programs and nothing compares with hello. i
have yet to find a program that can handle screenshots, and that has
been a key way i use hello.

please reconsider.

I am shocked that you are doing this! I gave up ALL other IMs when I
got hello. I have searched and found nothing even remotely comparable
to hello. I use this in my work. I need to be able to easily
screenshot and show pictures on the fly. EVERY ONE of my friends,
colleagues and customers are on hello. When this ends, it will
seriously disrupt my business. In the design community hello is widely
used. It will be a huge inconvenience to many of your customers.

Yes PLEASE reconsider. Hello has been my way of sharing photo's with
my husband who is in Iraq. As well as my family and friends back home,
we live overseas.
It has been a fantastic tool for my photography and scrapbooking.

I don't need any new features either, the way it is works just fine.
please PLEASE reconsider!!!!!

Please don't take Hello away from us all. We don't need any more

major you need to be doing with the software daily. Please PLEASE

Please do not shut down Hello! I use it constantly! I've searched for
an alternative, but there isn't one! :( I have SO many friends I've
made through Hello! I love that I can share pictures instantly unlike
other IM programs! I've only heard of one other possible alternative,
but it's known for crashing people's computers! This is a huge hit for
a lot of us! I Please reconsider your decision! Like someone else
posted, don't feel you have to improve it! It's perfect the way it
is!!! Please know that there are a LOT of people who use this program
daily! Even as a part of their businesses!
Again, Please reconsider!!!

Begging for you to reconsider HELLO as well!
I use Hello on a DAILY basis, as my ONLY form of "chatting" and
product/pictures sharing, communication with my customers.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reconsider.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE Helllo, and there
is nothing comparable to it.

We NEED Hello in the digiscrapping, photography and "client to seller"

Many thanks,

There are approximately 14,000 digital scrapbookers at
digishoptalk.com, MANY of whom use Hello very single day. This will be
extremely disruptive to designing and creative process in our
community. Please, please keep Hello. I know that most of us would be
happy to PAY a monthly fee to use it.

I totally agree with Mique, I love Hello, I use it everyday. It is the
only way that I keep in contact with people, besides email. I have
even got rid of other instant message programs. Yahoo, MSN. It is by
far the best out there. The screen shots, file sharing. Please
reconsider.

Although Hello does have its problems this is a great tool for those
of us in the design & photography fields among others. I also use
Hello to send pictures quickly to my husband who is stationed in Iraq
& friends in the states. Through Hello I have made friends all over
the world & it would be a shame to lose the convenience that Hello
gives me to communicate with them. I would even be happy with an
unsupported version of Hello as long as it keeps all of its current
features.

All I can say to this decision is WOW?  Why in the world would you
want to discontinue such a wonderful program?  I definitely would not
use the google IM feature you have.  I have looked at it, and
honestly, I could just use AIM and or ICQ much easier.  But I GAVE UP
these two programs to use Hello.  There is NOTHING on the market like
it.  Ease of use, and the ability to show pics and talk about them in
real time?  You actually had an original idea, I really do think this
is a decision you need to rethink.

What about using the HEllo as an avenue to advertise?  I certainly
wouldn't mind seeing APPROPRIATE ads or banners below it.  no scummy
stuff....just a thought.

urge you to please reconsider the discontinuation of this program.  It
is a means for people to share not only words but pictures (a picture
is worth a thousand words) with friends, family, colleagues,
customers, and others. Google has always given so many tools to help
make business and communication easier.
I am urging the 125,000 people on my site to respond as well.  We all

I to feel that Hello should not be taken away from the thousand of
designers that are out there.  I agree with what everyone else has
been saying.  I know Hello for me is something I use every single
day.  I use it to screen shot previews of what I'm working on with
other designers so they can let me know if the colors are working for
the design I'm currently working on, etc...  It's also one of only a
few ways I get my designs to my creative team members so that they can
create their digital scrapbook layouts and get them posted around the
community and help me promote my designs.  I feel that if you were to
get rid of Hello, it would cause a hardship on us all.  Ther eis
nothing else out there that even compares to Hello.

I agree too, i'd be completley lost without hello as i use it to
bounce design ideas off my creative team members.  This would be a
serious blow to an incredibly large community who use it as their main
messenger.  No other messengers have the ease of screenshot sending
like this one.  I even taught my parents how to use it and they are so
not going to be able to learn another messenger. Please dont
discontinue hello, i dont want anything new, i just want it to stay
the way it is.
