I would like to know how you feel about how much it costs CSA 11 rate
payers with the county operating/maintaining the system vs
another qualified organization?

Thanks Steve for presenting the case for the rate increase so succinctly, obviously we are all somewhat cynical of the County's handling of our water system. That being said it's also evident that we do need to make improvements in the future and therefore need to establish a fund to pay for these improvements and insure a dependable, safe water system for the community.

I would like to urge CSA 11 rate payers to support the proposed rate
increase for the following reasons-

We are now regulated by the State, and we are required to demonstrate a
rate structure that will support the operating and administrative costs
of our water system, and create a fund reserve.

Herb, I am not sure there is a form, although there might be. I do know a protest must at least include the property address, owner(s) name(s), APN and signature.

Two concepts to consider:

1) A solar powered well(s) for real time monitoring of water quality and
nitrite level. This would be a shallow low flow well(s) to monitor water
level and ground water quality. The water ( few hundreds of gallons per
day) would be available to the landowner where the wells are located or

Watershed Council

Hi folks. It sounds like there was some misunderstanding about the watershed council that was discussed at length at the PMAC meeting on Tuesday. To clarify, I have not appointed anyone to any council. We have not yet confirmed that there will even be a watershed council. Some have questioned its utility and some have voiced that those funds would better be spent getting further along in the flood control project. If we did create a watershed council, I would not be in a position to appoint anyone. I do not have or desire such authority. Watershed councils are generally open to anyone who is interested and exclude no one.
