It has been a long week as I set out on one of our biggest
investigations and expeditions of the year as we searched for vortexes, bigfoot,
ghosts, and other strange things that occur in the Kinzua area of the Allegheny
forest in Pennsylvania.
What your about to read is a story of courage, friendship,
strength, failure and glory. There is a lot of personal reasons why I did this
investigation as it was a 6 day event. One of those being that I wanted to spend
time gathering more evidence that something strange is happening up in the
Kinzua area mountains. But I also made another trip to the NY catacombs and
caves. I did find other entrances so definitely it was a huge success.
But I also wanted to go up there to meet Jill who has donated
for recent trips and spend time with our PA investigators. Honestly I am not
sure I will ever go back up to PA or NY again due to personal reasons. I do not
think any founder has ever faced the tribulations I faced on my last couple
trips up in these regions but in light of things I pulled it off.
There was a lot of rumors spread around that I was dead, that
I was not going to make it through, etc when will some of you learn that I have
a destiny to fulfill its not my time believe me when I say this. Some of
you should be ashamed of yourself for the lack of support you show. Actually the
story of this investigation is that despite the great things I can do very few
people have faith in me and chances I hate being under estimated when you see
the updates you will understand how much I battled and I only do it for one
reason and this is for the very few people who care about this organization and
our paranormal family.
I am pretty banged up my friend who picked me up from the
airport could not believe all the cuts on my hands and bruises. It was a hard
trip cause I had to do these caves with a bad knee thankfully all the hiking up
in the mountains with my brace actually strengthened the sprain so It healed
quite nicely.
First and foremost I want to take the time to thank Jim for
picking me up from the airport getting the hotel for me and showing me some new
places. He is a very nice guy and if I lived closer I am sure him and I would be
hanging out all the time together. When your friends with someone for as long as
5 years you sort of think of them as family so of course I would do the same for
him as he did for me this past week. Id also like to thank Cher for have a nice
roast and meal for me when I arrived in the town of Warren Pennsylvania. The one
thing I love to do more then anything is eat now lets hope the girl I find down
the road to be my twin flame can cook just as good lol.
That is what this group is about making new friends, getting
together checking out places, having fun, and sharing stories. I will continue
to keep it a family orientated atmosphere and well considering I gone out of
state 4 times in one year you can definitely see this organization has expanded.
I may consider in about 3 months again visiting somewhere not sure where yet
talks of New Jersey, Texas, Tennessee etc are in the works. It just depends on
who really wants to do investigations with me, if you have places worth checking
out, and if you can offer me somewhat of a place to sleep and eat at. Its never
easy for me to travel but being gone for 6 days just shows you how passionate I
am about the work that we do.
Going up to NY was basically to finish the job well enough
that Kitt gave me a video interview inside and we will share that eventually. We
took a lot of investigation photos as we toured..the Great Iroquois Catacombs
& Caverns,Warren State Hospital Cemetery Chapman Dam, Claredon Hills, Kinzua
Area (Upper Reservoir, Rim Rock, Devil's Elbow, Jake's Rocks) Hermit's
Den, Marshburg Cemetery, Kinzua Heights, Kissing Bridge, Old Waterford
Cemetery, The Eating Fields, Lenhart Cemetery, Historical Warren, Hearts
Content, Big Bend & The Giants Cave, Counterfeiter's Den, St. Joseph's
Cemetery, Oakland Potters Field & Warren State Hospital.
Now not every place your going to see paranormal evidence
basically I toured these areas basically to bring you a few untold stories and
expose certain cover ups that the locals do not wish to talk about. I personally
hope by sharing these others will visit these places and that is very rare
coming from me so you will enjoy the updates once they are up on the site. So
basically we brought you 16 new places and returned some old favorite spots.
Most of them were very successful investigations we had a few mishaps which
Ill get into later in the report.
But I do think these investigations and sharing my story will
benefit our group. I want others to keep in mind such as those that donated the
work that has gone on here. Between the research, hiking, investigations,
traveling, etc I told Jim before I left for home that I could not believe that I
went through every piece of clothing and equipment for this trip 3 bags worth
lol. Cher told me it must be hard to climb the mountains with all this gear but
when you do this long enough you learn to utilize your supplies and I always
bring enough for my investigators/friends to use.
I think these investigations are going to make all these other
groups up north who demeaned us look pretty bad trust me when I say this I went
up north to kick ass and that is what I did. I did come close to death a few
times it was very dangerous in general being the ground is wet, full of leaves,
snow, ice etc sometimes one wrong slip can be your last in bigfoot country. We
started off in the Great Iroquois Catacombs & Caves returning a month later
to conduct our 3rd investigation.
Great Iroquois Catacombs & Caves
Investigation 3
I do not know what else to say accept that it was a hell of a
trip. My hair was blue for the caves that way if I got lost someone could find
me lol. I want to thank my main man Matt for taking me to the airport at 3
in the morning. My flight in was okay a lot of turbulence up in Buffalo as
we went into a snow storm. I got off the plane Jim was there we ran into
eachother then we went to go pick up Kitt.
It was a long ride out to them and we stopped for lunch to
meet with Mick and Rich. Now Rich has been on the group for a very long time Id
say a few years so it was great meeting him. Again that is what this is all
about is making new friends and sharing these experiences together. He is a
pretty nice guy and helped us out a lot.
We all had lunch together then Jim dropped us off at the drop
off point. We hiked in the woods deep the snow was coming down thick and hard.
There was a couple inches on the ground and we came up to an old foundation
along with some cliffs. We took a few photos then we went down a very steep
slope so I could get more photos of rock formations.
We spent over an hour hiking and it took a little getting use
to this cause I had not been in snow for a few years but I think I led the
expedition well in the woods. We were pretty amazed with the area lots of trails
we took and at that time my boots were somewhat wet inside so I thought great
wet feet and cave here we come.
We arrived at the entrance and took some photos. Kitt and I
were very excited as I am sure Rich was too. This is something we worked at it
was not a walk in the park we hiked for awhile in those woods. At this point we
talked awhile took a break had a drink some snacks then I sent a text message
for safety and we entered.
Being inside was a whole different world it was so dark inside
and we only went a few feet. The area opened up it was a cavern of sorts very
man made some of it natural. There is actually 5 entrances in the area if you
remember one of them we entered was one of them on our first investigation. This
one area however was much larger and much more deadly.
The canopy to the caves was very week in some areas trust me I
know cause I climbed in some holes so small seen the broken ceilings up close
and personal. When we go in the place we go in all the way its not a half ass
adventure so my plans were to explore every ounce of this place and trust me we
did we pulled it off.
For awhile hiking through the various tunnels and caverns I
thought about marking my territory but I gambled I do a lot of gambling most of
the time I win. I figured it like this it would be more fun to just explore it
naturally if I had to get help Jim was at the hotel so at least I had it if
needed to be.
We got in deep starting our rock climbing came across a helmet
on a stone. Off in the distance it looked like a person standing there Kitt lost
some lives their lol. We hiked past it and went all the way to the back went
down some steep boulders and came back out at the main entrance. I almost
laughed cause I thought hell to myself people say this place is a maze. I found
the entrance a half hour later without even a sweat.
But that was okay cause what I did was took the cavern section
by section the north side was done and central cavern area. There was strange
areas like a pile of dirt, old mining tools we found, some beer bottles etc not
many know about this place but you will never be able to stop the serious
spelunkers who can appreciate the hollow earth like myself. Kitt brought with
him a lot of special gear for the trip without it most people would be doomed.
We got some fresh air then headed out to the left of the
entrance which was very treacherous a lot of climbing into small little rooms.
Now keep in mind I almost am carrying 50 lbs on my back and sometimes the
backpack was so large it would not fit in some of the areas we squeezed into. At
this point we were on our hands knees covered in guano and mud. This is the
penalty of any cavern.
I kept climbing deeper into various rooms and we reached an
area that was a bat cavern. There were hundreds of bats some of them had ice
hanging off of them and a half hour later those babies would be waking up to
feast. The room we were in was damp and the bats had sharp teeth on them. I
knocked one down by accident off the ceiling and injured him sorry bat I still
care lol. Actually I love bats and have great respect for them.
We worked our way into a dead end room most areas were dead
ends eventually and some holes we squeezed in brought us back to the main
cavern. One rock was taller then us we had to climb sometimes we would leave our
bags there and go a hundred feet in take a peak then come back. We found a dead
rat in this one area it was pretty gross and large tail hanging over the rock. I
should have taken a photo but I was to busy paying attention to other things
going on.
I heard what sounded like Indian chanting inside the cave,
mumbling, and even conversations. A lot of times I did not say a word to the
guys cause I wanted to see if they would say anything. Sure enough Rich caught
onto to a lot of the noises some you can explain as water others are clear as
daylight.
We were not alone in here something ghostly was lurking as a
psychic and investigator I can tell you that what was in there with us was not
to nice. It was not evil but it was not nice either. I felt it watching us from
behind some of the deeper parts of the cavern. It was following believe me. I
sat in the dark the guys were in another chamber and I shut off my lights 10
mins alone in the dark. Something was moving in close just a tunnel away.
Also let me mention that Kitt found a candle and tuna can
earlier when we first entered later on we found the candle burned down and can
moved. So I can only speculate something was in here with us do not think it was
humans though only cause we had enough light in that cave to light up an
auditorium seriously. There also was a lone tunnel back in here and it was full
of water we did not take it but it went back very far look like it dead ended
according to Kitt so we took it back to the main part of the cavern.
Our final site to explore was our right side of the cave
entrance. This area was my favorite it literally took us a long time to gather
data here. But we followed a tunnel and squeeze out over a hill of rocks which
opened up to a big empty room that twisted and turned. It went on for awhile and
dead ended at a river I shined my light for a long ways it went but again it
looked like a dead end so we did not trample through the icy water.
I tried to follow this river by rock climbing and eventually
we came to a cavern filled with a lot of water. It was like a lake back there
and it was waste deep. Its possible there is more to see but at this point our
priority was keeping dry and keeping the equipment free of moisture unlike last
time we were in water past our waist.
We had to across another channel of water and we ended up
walking in knee deep water eventually but it had to be done cause we had a whole
other area across the water to explore. We took a break on a rock I had
something to drink and Kitt ate a little something. We took our time no rush it
was a warm 55 degrees in the cave the water was a little chilly till we got use
to it and at this point we would be going through water on and off for
awhile.
Kitt and I found a giant hole in the wall which led to an area
we already been to this is one of the spots I had an interview. I did not
realize it but banging my head hard caused it to bleed and I did have a cut on
my nose as well which was bleeding. I was so excited to explore that I did not
care about any of that.
We did make it back to the entrance and ended up coming out a
different cave entrance. We had an option to go home but I had us go back in one
last time to take a look at the helmet on the rock well we could not find it and
there was a rock we found earlier and thought it was the same one the helmet was
on. So at this point we noticed the helmet was gone and at this point we were
tired since this investigation was on our 8th hour.
We exited the cave and it was a long hike to the car it was so
cold outside and we were soak and wet shivering. We did walk through areas with
a lot of water and we noticed cause of the snow outside it was causing the cave
to somehow fill with water at a high speed rate so its good we got out of there
when we did.
In conclusion we explored the entire cave except for two areas
with higher then knees water which looked like dead ends anyway's. So it turned
out this place is very big but it does not go on for miles at one point it
may have but parts of it are sealed up just like the other cavern we went in our
first time was a totally different area meaning one was natural one was man
made. The natural one we could not get into so I could not get any Indian
pictographs.
We got back to the car Rich dropped us off at the hotel I
spent the night sleeping on a window sill and I did not care if there was cool
air blowing on me or how hard it was I was out for the night early being as
exhausted as I was. The next morning Jim and I grabbed breakfast he grabbed a
geocache near the hotel I packed the vehicle on up with my gear and we headed
down for Pennsylvania. Caves conquered and anybody who says they are
nothing are truly mistaken this is an old place lots of history, ghost, and
strange tales.
We never once marked our trails here Kitt was amazed on how
well my knowledge was on direction and we did try to use a compass at one point
which was spinning around like crazy so definitely a strange place. Kitt
mentioned to me one of the best days of his life was this investigation and I
think a lot of people in Buffalo were very selfish not to help out with this
cause we really had an amazing journey within.
Going back to things Jim and I made our trip down to Warren PA
which is right by the Kinzua Dam area full of bigfoot, ghost lore, Indian
legends, civil war cemeteries, dancing lights in the sky and vortexes. On the
way up to Kinzua Jim showed me the lady surrounded by Glass up in Jamestown. By
that time the snow was coming down hard I thought oh crap my week up in the PA
mountains is going to have bad weather but as the week went on so did the
weather.
Warren State Hospital
Cemetery
Not really an investigation but I got at the house and Cher
cooked me fish man I love tilapia what a great fish it is to eat yummmm. Jim
showed me the old Warren State Hospital Cemetery which is up on a hill recently
discovered.
I noticed about 15 graves in it and although I doubt we got
ghostly shots I visited it during the day and I am more then happy to share its
location. I did slip here but did not fall it was muddy on the hill but a very
dismal place lots of unmarked stones sitting on the hill.
I felt more energy from the back of the cemetery where there
was a gate leading off into the woods. I was pretty cold the wind chill picked
up and it was daytime so not a whole lot to see but I will share the photos and
history with everybody during our updates.
After we arrived back Cher had a nice roast cooking for dinner
and man I love eating roast lol I sometimes eat a whole one myself. But again
Cher knows what I like everytime I visit she surprises me with a new dish to
eat.
Later on that night Denny came on over and we headed on over
to Chapman Dam. He wanted to go to the same places I was like NOOOO way buddy
cause the Chapman Dam area is known for its strange paranormal happenings.
Chapman Dam
Denny shared with me a ton of stories about this place then we
got out of the car in the woods and started our hike on this road. I could
really sense the eeriness of this place something here felt more out of place
then being up in Kinzua. I just did not like it at all not that its evil just
that we drove down this dirt road the woods were very heavy and lots of hills. I
seen a deer way off in the woods so there was life out this way.
We basically walked the road around the creek and dam areas.
There was a few Y's in the road at some points but we stayed in the area. Up on
the first road I found some tracks leading up into the hill there were toe
impressions and they were fairly large. I think they were that of an adolescent
bigfoot but they were human shaped and went right up onto the hill towards the
woods. I took a photo but being its nighttime tracks are not easy to
photograph.
We walked around and I heard movement up along the tree line.
Denny and I came around near a suspended bridge that is when someone was at the
end of the road shining there high beams on us from a gate. We started to run
not sure if they seen us but we thought it was strange seeing a truck at the
gates shining there lights onto us. They had to see us no doubt so someone was
back there with us maybe a ranger or maybe a hunter who knows.
We walked on the bridge I almost fell off cause I was really
running hard on it just to get out of site and wait for this truck to pass by it
never did though. We worked our way around a creek and Denny showed me an active
bigfoot spot then we arrived at the car and all was well.
Not much to say about the area just that its very secluded and
I can see something going on up here. We took a photo at the road sign and a guy
came out of his house to stare at us. The same one that tried to run over Denny
with his truck years ago so we got out of the area and I was lucky enough to get
to visit here at night and get a feel for what's going on up here. The stories
about this place would freak you out believe me and they will be shared. We then
headed on up to the Claredon Hills.
Claredon Hills
This is exactly what it is a series of large hills you can
drive through at night camp out hike etc. Denny and I noticed the forest was
torn up by loggers and oil wells. He use to camp up here all the time but the
area seems to be developing. We spent awhile driving through unmarked roads some
seem like they go on forever and some were so steep that without a truck you
probably would be stuck up here.
Denny showed me a secret area which was known to have a
smaller bigfoot that would pass threw all the time. I walked around but the
grounds were wet and there was a road that dead ended with a couple oil wells.
The other field we found was the same way just an empty field in the
woods.
At this point my boots were wet and there was snow on the
ground up there. I personally did not see anything but in one area it was cooler
then normal. It was an eerie place and the power lines ran right down the
mountain up here. Denny told me not to reveal the location here since it would
bring in geocachers and so it remains a secret but in my opinion it does not
matter cause with all the logging done on parts of that area it really is
pushing bigfoot probably into deeper parts of the forest.
I did notice as we drove in the woods Denny's car radio kept
turning on like crazy by itself. He told me to shut it off and see for myself. I
turned it off and I counted to two and it turned back on and the volume went all
the way up. The radio turned on about 20 times in just a short time my
speculation is there was some sort of electric interference in the area maybe
some UFO activity or something going on underground.
On our way down I had Denny stop the truck I smelled a sulphur
smell in the air it was very strong. It did go away but the question is do the
hills have eyes? We then moved onto to our old stomping grounds where we found
bigfoot evidence and mutilations.
Strange Kinzua Investigation
5
The areas we consider Kinzua are the upper reservoir,
overlooks, dam, Jake's Rocks and finally Rim Rock area. These are all very close
to the dam and once was land given to the Indians. Lots of ghost back here,
dancing lights seen and sometimes Bigfoot activity.
Denny and I parked up in the woods at the upper reservoir.
This is an area I have filmed animal mutilations and seen a white ball of light
in front of me. But on this investigation this area changed a lot of the trees
were being cut down and logged.
Right away I noticed no deer, raccoons, coyotes, bear or
anything let alone tracks. This is always a high animal habitat and not to see
any tracks bothered me. The exposure to this investigation was not so much
bigfoot or UFOs but what or who is eating all the animals. Where did all the
animals go?
Was there a bigger bigfoot population eating more then it
should or was the government messing with the habit by putting animals here that
do not belong such as big cats.
We walked up along the reservoir seen this bridge leading to
pipes sticking out. It was quiet up here but the type of road you could picture
bigfoot standing on.
We checked an old shed found nothing in it not even signs of
animal life. Denny explained how they put in coyotes to control the deer then
put in big cats to control the coyotes then how the big cats have overrun the
population and probably are eating all the animals up here.
No tracks and no animals that is what it came down to. Denny
stuck his hands in the grill of his truck to warm them up then we ate pretzels
it was almost a full moon up there and we were the only humans in miles so real
secluded.
Denny then took me to Jake's Rocks it was one of our last
stops of the night not to far from the Reservoir. It was eerie up there I got
out a few times felt watched. But we did not hear a thing back here. I was tired
and cold. Denny was having problems with his heater. All he could think about it
what would happen if we were to get stuck up there.
Lot a lot of activity but I would not want to walk the lonely
road in the dark. Its just that type of place a road for miles in the mountains
made of dirt woods on both sides and no life or civilization for miles. At this
point I was pretty tired so I was more then happy to get back to base get some
rest since we had plans in the morning.
When I am up in this area I always feel watched but more so I
feel Indian spirits around me as we drive around. See I already been to these
areas and really you do not want to over investigate them so we just drove
around hoping to see something. The next day we woke up and went out to Hermit's
Den.
Hermit's Den
This was a daytime investigation and it was a new location. I
bet hiking here late at night might be a good bigfoot area. But this is the
thing I cannot get the help I need for some of these places at night so that is
one reason I may not return to the area cause when I want to do something it
goes in one ear and out the other so Denny did not come to this.
But Jim showed me where it is and its very hidden sort of near
a cliff side. There was a lot of snow covering the hole and Jim got right down
in there. Its barely big enough to squeeze in but once your in it opens up to a
room. Jim was inside then I came in after him.
I would not say its haunted but there is a dismal feeling
inside. It was warm inside the den and you could see to iron bars extending out
from where the hermit had his hammock hanging. I went to the back of the den
cutting to my left I almost did not fit guess all that homecooking lately lol. I
left the house at about 206lbs here in FL so I almost got stuck in the crevice I
know ha ha guys.
I did take it a little ways but it dead ended. It was pretty
neat inside though I could see it being used as shelter from the elements its
actually cozy inside it would be cool to spend a night inside this place and
just listen to all the strange noises going on around there in the woods.
Nearby was an old quarry and logging camp where a mill once
stood. I also investigated this wide open area seen lots of crushed rocks and
logs. It was a pretty interesting excursion and what a beautiful place all up in
the mountains like a hidden jewel. You could tell nobody comes back here very
much and so after this we headed on out to Marshburg Cemetery.
Marshburg Cemetery
Its really is not called this but its the nearest town to it
so hence the name. This was an old cemetery unfortunately no ghost photos but
its still a daytime historical investigation.
I toured the cemetery and it seemed every single stone either
was broken or illegible. The cemetery sat surrounded by woods I am sure very
eerie at night no doubt.
I did not see anything strange or out of the ordinary there
was a mason's grave kind of unusual for that area. But Jim wanted to show me a
new cemetery that probably has some level of activity when the sun goes down so
I took some photos of it. We then headed off to Kinzua Heights.
Kinzua Heights
Wow what an amazing place we pulled the gate aside and drove
up the muddy road to an area where there was more oil wells, tanks etc it was an
oil drilling camp. What ashamed considering how beautiful the area is.
We were walking for awhile and came up to some trees and just
beyond them was this giant maze in a rock. When I say giant picture a rock that
goes for a quarter of a mile and about 4 aisles cutting into them and about two
aisles crisscrossing. Often people call it the rock maze.
I would not say its a maze but its a cool place and I climbed
about 7 feet down into the crevices and explored them. This is the type of place
that once you go in your trapped. However I was like a kid at a Chucky Cheese's
climbing up on rocks peaking my head around lol.
Jim told me that there was rumored to be tunnels underneath
the heights. Not sure how one could get in lots of woods, rocks, crevices etc
would love to have found them here.
I walked believe it or not the whole length of the maze
weaving in and out of the aisles. I heard Jim calling for me way off in the
distance everybody worries way to much about me which is a good thing but that
is what I flew out for was to investigate and that is what I did.
I did not have to much time to explore for bigfoot tracks or
anything strange down in the maze of rocks but I could tell this was a place of
power and quite ancient. Denny told me there is another one just like this
hidden up on another mountain quite an odd formation nonetheless.
We then left the area it was pretty muddy but the sun was
coming on out it was getting warm the snow was starting to melt and it was
turning out to be a nice day.
After these investigations was our group Dinner at Pizza Hut.
Id really like to thank Jill for coming out from Bradford to meet me she is such
a nice person and well it was nice of her to give me a donation in person I
almost hated to take it cause I was just happy with seeing her.
What I was not happy about is the fact that we had an invited
guest to the group dinner I planned out which is one of the reasons I will never
come out to Kinzua again. Whether this person invited themselves or was invited
it was condoned and disrespectful considering they were banned because 3 years
back ago they quit on me because they wanted to go drinking at goth clubs
leaving me without an investigator for a few months before I came out here which
in the end really hurt the group. But to be forced to eat with a person who only
joined our group a few years ago to hook up was the breaker point and I have
talked about this with a lot of other members and they agree with me its
Paranormal & Ghost Society dinner which means PGS members and friends of the
organization only.
I come all the way out from FL pay for most of my own
ticket, leave my kids for 6 days to eat with a banned investigator so yeah not a
very comfortable situation for me and besides the fact that I had no say in what
toppings I wanted on the pizza really at this point made me feel like I was the
outsider.
I feel if I come to your city to bring stories on it treat me
as a guest not less then you and that is how I felt pretty much excluded and the
next dinner I hold like this will not take place here that I can tell you. I
have little trust in others and when they do something like this it goes out the
window. The waitress was a sweetie to have to deal with me lol but my Warren
team guess does not understand where I am coming from I wonder how they would
like it if Gretchen showed up at Pizza Hut its the same concept will not get
into who she is but lets say she is not liked very much by them at all hmmm.
After the dinner Jim and I got back to the house to get ready
for some of our own investigations of course Denny did not want to go cause it
was not Jake's Rocks or Rim Rock therefore it was no use to him. We drove out to
Waterford an old civil war type of town to visit Kissing Bridge.
Kissing Bridge (Old Waterford Covered
Bridge)
Like most bridges up in PA all of them have a ghost story or
two. This was my second covered bridge I have done in the last few years and I
must say this one was not as eerie as the one in Girard but nonetheless I felt
ghost here strongly.
We turned down this country road lots of farms and some old
tracks just a hundred feet from the bridge. The creek was all covered by snow on
the banks brrr it was cold out this way looked like Waterford got hit with some
heavy snow.
Jim and I went under the bridge took some photos I felt
something around him did not take any EMF readings I was just off in my own
world taking lots of photos.
The bridge was in very good shape despite its age and trust me
its over a century old. The water was running underneath us and you could hear
it. Jim and I separated we did our own thing I am sure he got some good photos
too.
I walked as far as the tracks I had to get out of there
quickly cause a car came through and its narrow inside so yes its dangerous to
be walking on especially with the sun going down and it getting dark out.
Jim drove on the bridge then parked took a photo of his car
parked on it hope to see the picture. Its basically a historical site and there
is energy to it. If I lived out this way Id spend sometime getting EVP here but
I don't so photos are going to have to suffice for this one.
I climbed the side of the bank ended up stuck in a thorn bush
not fun trust me but I wanted a side photo of the bridge and I got it despite
the thorns then we headed on off to the Old Waterford Graveyard.
Old Waterford
Graveyard
Jim and I drove right on in the snow was heavy here I did not
even need a flashlight. I had him drive us to the older section and he showed me
a colonial war grave where there was a very old cannon.
The cemetery appeared to have a lot of civil war veterans
buried here and a lot of old stones. It was very hilly and I did hear something
move around in the darker section and what sounded perhaps like a scream or
voice of some kind way off in the distance.
It was cold so I put a rush investigation on this place. Wish
I had more time to walk around tour it cause some of the gravestones are amazing
here. I got some pretty good ghostly evidence here though and that is all that
matters.
You are going to enjoy the snow covered graves, ectoplasm
shots, and history to this place. Its a large cemetery and at one point Jim
showed me an area that was the oldest area of it which was about two rows of
about 30 stones so close side by side they were almost touching.
The photos will speak for itself believe me when I say this
you will be amazed. After the cemetery Jim and I took a break at this eat in gas
station. We both grabbed some hot coffee and some snacks sat down and ate for
awhile.
I enjoyed this cause here in Florida nobody wants to hang out
with me or sit down have some coffee and talk. The town of Waterford is gorgeous
they have this old historical tavern near the gas station so I was just enjoying
it all.
Jim and I waited to use the bathroom and this guy was in there
for like 15 minutes he comes out and Jim went in gagged hahaha. He said to me he
is not sure what crawled up and died in this guys ass but when I went in there I
was not pleased either. Jim said to me hey Rick its so bad in there that it
turned your hair blue and the one guy in there was staring at us weird
lol.
Before we left Jim and I bought a lotto ticket actually it was
a special ghost one and no I did not win grrrr but I seen it in the machine and
had to buy one. Isn't that ironic we are doing paranormal investigations and see
a ghost scratch off in the machine. We then headed on off to the eating
fields.
The Eating Fields
It really is not called the eating fields but it was a rifle
range no name on it but we parked out near some tracks in the woods waiting for
everybody to arrive. When I say everybody I am talking about 16 people lol.
Nobody showed yet so we took off again to a gas station I was walking around in
there with my hunting knife attached strangely it did not freak anybody out lol
I like PA more and more.
We went back up to the Eating Fields Jim's pals came and I
took off for a hike in the woods alone for awhile. I found a little trail off to
the side that I took and you could see all the targets on the range covered in
snow.
Now I do not know the history of the area but its pretty eerie
and there probably is history to the area I am sure. I came back from my hike
everybody had shown this was a geocaching event but I wanted to help Jim with it
since he has helped me with things. It was nice meeting all these people they
seemed all pretty nice and I got to play with Loki a chocolate lab I love dogs
so much. Speaking of dogs Tiff and Snoop are doing well if you do not know them
those are Jim and Cher's dogs.
Anyhow I was introduced to most of the people and I did not
travel much with the group I went off in the woods taking my own trail. I did
cut across to the front of the group from the woods and they found the first
clue. After that I hiked way ahead of everybody was tired so I just laid down
right in the snow if you ask me Id say it was quite comfortable lol.
When I seen others coming I got up and made it past the fields
and along a series of woods I seen the area the geocache was hidden at I was not
going to say anything that is why I do not do geocaching for me its just not
challenging enough I find them so quickly that it actually upsets me although
its fun I will admit to that.
When the group arrived they all looked for the cache and I
stayed off to the side taking photos off near the swamp. There was some nice
stuff in the bucket and what appeared to be a spooky pirate off in the woods by
it. I took photos and then signed the cache. Everybody left and I stayed by
myself in the woods for awhile taking photos of the pirate.
I heard branches snap and something was closing in on me
branches were even snapping but I stuck it out. Nothing showed up but the ghost
were closing in on me in the woods I took some photos. The group was way off on
the other side of the field. I came up behind Jim startled him a little cause he
was confused why I was not in front of everybody.
We got to a path and Jim told me I am going the wrong way
which I was not very little did he know that I already pre mapped out the area
and this path was a short cut to the car little did any of the geocachers know
this hence why I am the leader of this organization cause its my job to stay one
step ahead of everything. I was disappointed others including Jim would not take
my word about this trail hell my foot tracks were already on it from earlier so
I said to myself well if they want to struggling hiking on hills with snow to
each there own.
I walked the lonely trail by myself and strangely enough I was
the first one at the car waiting for all 16 people. Not that its a race but I
got what I came for which was my name on the cache and some ghost photos. The
eating fields had an eerie sense to them lots of trails, swamps and woods here
who knows what goes on out in them but it was a hell of a hike there and back.
We had a long drive home but I think Jim enjoyed the company
cause Denny does not really do these caches with him and I am always more then
willing to help him that is what friends are for. Jim took me to one last place
its called Lenhart Cemetery.
Lenhart Cemetery
This now was an eerie location one of my favorite spots. There
was this very steep trail leading up in the woods and at the top of the hill
nestled in the woods was this private family cemetery. On our way here we hit
something and it caused a flat tired but instead of changing it I figured we
should investigate first then handle the tire problem that way it does not draw
in any suspicion.
We walked in and the energy here was very strong I could feel
it emanating all around me and some areas were very cold. There was a small
gated off area full of graves then some family plots it was not very large.
It was dark even the moon could not get threw here and being
near hearts content its a very strange area here. I felt very watched nothing
cryptid just that this place felt extra haunting.
I took some photos many of the graves were tipped or covered
in leaves. It was just a very foreboding place. Even the trail to it was eerie
cause you do not see the graves till your up on the hill.
Jim and I changed the flat two people stopped to try and help.
The second guy that stopped did not look to nice and I hid behind the vehicle
with my knife in case he were to try anything harmful to Jim I could come up
behind him and take him out.
You just do not know up in these mountains people sometimes do
not have swell intentions. The lug nuts on the tire were on so tight that I
threw out my back trying to get them off so I was hurting the next day but its
all good we got home in one piece and the bolt that was pulled out of it was
quite large what we tried to figure out is why the front tire did not catch it
yet the back one did.
When we got back to the house I was very tired but nonetheless
believe it or not I changed got my gear together and did another investigation
that night haha. I wanted to do a spooky story on some haunted places which are
rumored to have strangeness in downtown Warren. Now keep in mind Warren was
established in 1795 so its very historical, surrounded by mountains, and has
tails of underground railroads, tunnels, and even curses.
Historical Warren
I set off by myself at first cause I wanted to get some food
at the store which turned out to be closed grrrr. It was quite a hike to these
locations and I felt funny carrying all this gear into town. I used this time to
make some calls also spoke to my future roommate she is a pretty cool girl and
called another friend who was picking me up from the airport. So here I am
walking around Warren nobody is on the streets but me on a cell phone and taking
ghostly photos.
I never got a good chance to look at the town till this
investigation. But man some of them historical mansions were amazing with giant
stone columns, bay windows, castle towers etc most of them historical sites have
sealed up tunnels as well but I did not get in the tunnels. I do believe I found
a way into them but Ill keep a low down on this cause lets face it they are not
a nice place to be.
I did this investigation for Jim and Cher though wanted to
give them an investigation about there hometown. But I did it to spite the Times
Observer to they are a newspaper I wrote in Warren and they refused to give me a
story so you bet your ass I got some good apparition photos including one in
front of there building lol. Ghost are my best friends trust me on this.
Anyhow I started off at a bridge seen a tunnel off in the side
of the hill I damn well was not crawling in anything with rats lol. I took a
photo of an old concrete bridge and a brick lined street then visited Celoron
Park. The park had a nice stone monument in there.
Then I headed out to the Old United Methodist Church made out
of stone it had a haunting feel to it. We passed some other stoned buildings
including this old Victorian house.
I focused my investigation on the courthouse which is very old
has a bell up in the tower which was struck midnight and so that was ringing 12
times. So yeah perfect investigation got the ghost, bell tower going off, full
moon above my head and nobody was out the town was mine.
A cop followed me around for awhile in his car but see he did
not bother me if it was FL Id been on the hood fully searched but I minded my
own and the cop minded his own besides my blue hair probably freaked him out
lol.
The courthouse I guess is supposed to be haunted along with
the historical society. I am pissed I did not get to go into the historical
society cause I wanted to talk to the historian about the tunnel system and look
up records but that's okay I did investigate the outside of it and its just this
big old creepy brick building.
I felt watched from the inside and you will grasp this place
more upon viewing photos its very spooky has wrought iron gates in front of it
etc. After this I stopped to take photos of the oldest home in Warren which was
a colonial design.
Then there was the mansion house, liberty theatre, old
municipal building etc I seen 4 cute teenage girls walking and they were pretty
paranoid of me they quickly cleared the sidewalk and cross the street just to
get away sheesh the locals in Warren are like the ones in FL there all paranoid
its crazy. Hell even if I wore a suit and tie guarantee they would still run
that is just how people are.
I now focused the investigation on the downtown area lots of
little restaurants, shops, brick buildings etc not much different looking then
some of these towns here in FL. I really took some time and sat in Soldiers
Sailors Park which has this giant monument, stone memorial, benches, and nearby
was an opening to the tunnels which was sealed. So this place really got my
attention. I sat at the memorial made a call to Stephanie for about a half hour
then hung up with her and read the historical plaques about Celeron's Expedition
in the area.
I took some photos of these stone faces on a building they
were pretty spooky looking to. Then there was a dark alley I photographed and
another plaque by the Conewango River which looked pretty unfriendly with its
water moving fast underneath the bridge. The town actually has 2 rivers one
being Conewango the other being the Allegheny running threw it more then likely
a fall in them would mean death because they are very deep, large, cold and move
fast.
After this I took a few photos of a church with a giant cross
and a roman type of religious building. After this it was getting late I was
walking the streets for a few hours it was time to get back to a warm house and
relax. I was in a lot of pain at this point. You go out each day climbing,
falling, getting branches in the face, hiking etc your going to get physically
worn out and I could feel this starting to happen in my legs mainly.
I just could not believe how much of a ghost town this place
is at night I almost compared it to Saint Augustine once its past a certain time
nobody is out on the streets. I seen a lot of people in bars drunk guess that is
the only thing for people to do. One girl was shaking her ass outside dancing to
music lol.
But it really is an amazing town to investigate its historic,
old, quiet at night, cemeteries are around the town, hills, and many old
mansions. If I had more time Id love to actually go inside some of the places
but I did not.
Heart's Content
Well here it is a Sunday was out only with a few hours of
sleep Nikki calls up at 8:30am and says we are waiting for you at Richard's
Family Restaurant for breakfast. So being a zombie I barely got dressed and we
made our way out there to meet with Denny and Nikki.
Of course once again I was forced to eat breakfast with Liz so
yeah my day was starting off real lovely. Nobody should have to fly out to visit
friends and subjected to deal with this considering I had plans to get out to
Hearts Content in the morning this cost us a few hours cutting into our bigfoot
expedition was not pleased.
I walked on into the restaurant there was at least over a
hundred people eating here and all of them could not stop giving me dirty looks.
Really what is the difference between a Florida Hick and a PA Mountain
Hillbilly? The answer is none both of them judge you so either way your screwed.
But just to see people drop there forks made me laugh my ass off guess they
never seen a blue haired dude before these people are really behind in the
times.
The food was okay here I think the only thing on my mind was
more coffee please. The bacon was pretty good I was not to pleased with the rest
of the food I figured there had to be a better place then this grrr I love
Denny's and Perkins lmao.
We ate I got back to the house Denny showed up a couple hours
late and it was just supposed to be him and I covering the hearts content area
and Big Bend area. Well now we had a large group and unfortunately not to sound
rude but it was a huge set back for me cause I wanted to cover ministry creek
and the boiler down below and check out an area the government sealed off back
on Valentines Day. Yes there is a government coverup in the area not sure if a
UFO crashed here or what but I wanted to expose the area.
We parked at the recreation area the girls went on the Tanbark
Trail and I hiked down across the road past a stone monument which talked about
an old farmstead which was at one time located here. This is not an area to fool
around at lightly people get lost up in these woods but Id hike them at night
more then likely you have to if you want to see something strange.
Jim and Denny took me on a trail to get some geocache I seen
the plastic bag under the log about 20 feet away and reached over it and pulled
it out. Again no challenge for me. We were off the trail and found it
eventually. We heard screams off in the woods it was the girls screwing around
which again upset me cause I am trying to conduct an investigation here and well
it turned out to be nothing. Everybody seems to want to do what they want to do
and not taking into consideration that my time is limited and that I do not get
to see the area everyday. I did hear a lot of gunshots in the woods of course
its hunting season so its expected.
I wanted to go the other way into an open area nobody came
with me went by myself like I said when people do not follow your leadership
that is when its time to go elsewhere. You cannot conduct investigations if
people do not work with you on them.
I actually took the trail it came out to a playground and
picnic area. The area was gorgeous there was a firetower off in the distance and
I went back out to the road. Actually I took a short cut and when I crossed the
road I took this one trail surrounded by some evergreens and that came out near
the Tanbark Trail.
At the trailhead I read the history about the logging camp,
took some photos of some of the historical things left behind, and ended up
waiting over 20 minutes for everybody to show up. I was pretty upset about this
cause again nobody can stay with me here I am leading a bigfoot expedition and I
am off alone hiking cause everybody wants to do what they want to do.
When they showed Denny took my photo at the entrance and we
pulled off further down this entry road which led us to a gate up in the woods.
We hiked down this road for almost 2 miles almost to the backside of Chapman
Dam.
This area of hearts content was very eerie we were in search
of the lost lake. What I noticed about the area is fields had been cleared out
like one of them looked like a runway. Maybe its a UFO landing area who knows
but these fields were perfect squares and made this way in the middle of the
forest.
We did not find the lost lake I did suggest we take the trail
to our right but again nobody really listened to me and that is where it was
according to Jim who showed me photos of it when we got home. It was a rough
hike I had brought my spotlight with me cause underneath the lake is a tunnel
but again we did not find it cause everybody wants to do what they want to
do.
I pretty much hiked ahead of everybody on my own. The area was
becoming cloudy and I could sense something in this area not sure but something
was out of place maybe a vortex, maybe bigfoot who knows but I asked Denny a few
times if we could come back here at night and I got ignored on it. So hearts
content was a big waste of time for me and well basically Ill put it on the page
to expose the cover ups going on up here but I didn't get no good evidence of
anything here as I wanted.
After the investigation I had plans to go to Big Bend which is
this hidden cavern sealed by the US government back in the 60's. To get to the
cavern you either have to take a dirt road in the woods park and hike on the
trail or you can go straight up a super steep mountain which will take you to
the plateau/canyon that this resides in.
Denny told me that the trail is 7 miles little did he know I
pre studied it and did some research again I am always shown doubt from others.
He wanted to hike up the mountain but I wanted to take the trail simply the 4
mile hike I just went on was not going to allow my legs to climb a mountain. It
was getting late and because of the charade we ended up not going so I asked Jim
to drop me off first thing in the morning and Id do the hike myself to the peak.
At this point I was very upset cause what I felt like is that
this was very one sided and I have had plans to hike up to the bowl at big bend
for a few years now. I will not get into its history now but lets just say what
happened here was very tragic and would change the course of mankind if people
knew what was found up here. So yeah I really wanted to do this place. I just
got told to do it on my next trip and unfortunately there is not always a next
time I got so many other goals, projects etc just wish others realized that the
time given here I had was precious and should have been taken at face value.
We arrived back at Jim's house and Cher cooked some honey
chicken it was great I loved it then Denny stopped by to take me to once again
the same locations so hence the 6th investigation of the Kinzua area.
Strange Kinzua Investigation
6
I really hate over investigating an area the more you do the
less your going to get to see bigfoot. These are good areas in Kinzua but we
already know bigfoot roams here it was time to see other places.
Denny took me out to Devil's Elbow and we did walk the entire
trail around it which was full of stick bushes not fun trust me. Denny told me a
story about a ghost seen up on this trail so it was okay. I was looking for the
lake monster in this area but seen nothing.
I did however see some sparkling lights over the water when I
looked over the bridge. These are supposedly the dancing lights people see some
say they are UFO or alien crafts that come out of the water who knows but it was
cool cause we both seen them around the same time.
We then parked up at Rim Rock sad to say we did not hike
anywhere but I did get out to the parking lot area and a lot of ash trees had
been cut down and placed in piles. It makes me so angry when people cut down
trees. The area had an eerie sense to it but I did not hear much.
Denny and I went to a secret area known as the circle its an
Indian burial ground and you have to hike off to the side of the road on a steep
hill. He was trying to find stool specimens he found in the woods a month ago.
We did not find them and I tried to explain to him they would not be here cause
of the rains and erosion. But he did show me a video and they match no animal I
have ever seen so probably bigfoot.
The Indian circle had been removed sad to say it was torn to
pieces everything in the Kinzua area seems to be torn apart logging done, new
roads made, areas torn up etc its a sad situation to see not like it was when I
use to visit out this way to conduct investigations.
We hiked on a trail Denny claims that is a vortex found a log
and we sat for over a half hour in silence. I did not hear a thing the area has
become less and less paranormal which makes me believe as I stated earlier that
these areas probably are no longer good for investigating now on the other hand
there are areas that are less visited and not being logged that might have more
activity.
After sitting for a while I seen a glowing light threw the
treats maybe it was the moon not sure but the forest was lit up for a few
minutes way way off I showed Denny it so I will leave this open cause I thought
it was strange how it only lasted a few minutes.
Other then that nothing strange happened again we did not see
any animals or tracks. On our way home down near the old Reservoir Road we did
see a fat porcupine cross the road which of course nothing is going to eat that
unless they like to be pricked.
The only thing that I did actually find a bit odd is that
Denny's truck was losing power must like the Claredon hills causing the radio to
turn on this time it was the opposite. His lights on the truck were dimming out.
His high beams were as bright as his regular truck beams. The more we drove
around Kinzua the worst it got was not even sure we would make it out of the
woods and out of the mountain. Something was draining the vehicle maybe UFO's
its hard to say I know when an abduction is about to occur either the vehicle
will die or the radio will turn on by itself. Before the high beams dimmed the
radio did turn on once again by itself.
I was pretty disappointed with the Kinzua area that is why I
planned this trip to see new sites cause honestly a lot of sites are just being
over used between campers, geocachers, hikers, loggers, etc and its pushing
bigfoot and other creatures deeper into the forest very soon these creatures
will have nowhere to go and it does really sadden me as a respectable paranormal
investigator.
We did go to the overlooks cause he wanted to see if there
were any UFOs over the water I tried to explain to him its 8pm at night and
chances of that probably are to rare now if it was 3am its possible but most
paranormal activity happens past midnight this is just how it is that is why
they call cryptids elusive some people spend there whole life up in these woods
looking for Bigfoot and Aliens they never find it what it comes down to is who
wants to see it more. If you put yourself out there and take a few chances there
is a good probability in seeing something.
Denny mentioned to me he had to get home and work claiming how
he wishes he did not have to work like me. Unfortunately people still do not
understand that the paranormal is a fulltime job for me. Between traveling,
investigations, research, risk, writing a book, editorials, TV shows, meet
ups, our forums, answering 1000's of paranormal emails, running our website,
adventuring etc it turns into a very serious job which requires a lot of
commitment and unfortunately some do not respect this they think its okay to
bring who they want on investigations, show up late, cut an investigation short,
tell me what to do etc and that could be the moment bigfoot is out there walking
on the old wagon trail. Three years of old friends not seeing me and it comes
down to this.
We arrived home early so I was venting and went out for a long
ass walk around Warren in an area full of old large eerie houses. I chatted on
the phone for awhile while walking threw the old neighborhoods then stopped at
the store to pick up a candy bar, apple, half gallon of chocolate milk, and
pizza pocket. That was pretty much my dinner cause honestly since I am a night
owl I sometimes eat two dinners one early and one late at night. The chocolate
milk was good lol.
I did go online to try and meet some girls yeah I know sad but
I figured what the hell nothing like a mountain girl. I did start talking with a
gothic chick the only one in Warren online she called my phone twice hung up
rudely. I was not to happy about this she claimed to me she conducted paranormal
investigations in Warren but as open as she is I was to much even for her and we
ended up not meeting oh well and so is life.
Kitt called me about 4am to let me know that others on myspace
think I died I was pretty upset about this. I think by now my members should
know better then that. I am a legend I do not go down that easy lol if someone
thinks otherwise they got some issues or they just did not read the emails
stating that I would be gone one week.
Kitt called to thank me for taking him on the cave expedition
he really is a genuine guy and I am glad him and I have become good friends..
Despite the distance between us I somehow know in the future he will come down
here to help out with the group after he gets things settled up in NY. He
probably will be my future roommate either when I move out west or down here
anyhow cause we get along pretty good and without him again this cave expedition
would not have happened on both trips really cause he has a lot of cool gear and
knowledge.
So after I got off the phone I got a few hours of sleep only
to prep myself for my ascension up to Big Bend & The Giants Cave.
Big Bend & The Giants
Cave
Jim dropped me off near the dam and I started my hike up the
mountain. I wish he could have came but I know that this was A. Very dangerous
and B. He has a bad back so I would not force anybody to endure what I was about
to do.
There was no trail I had to do an estimation it was a 1000
foot climb overlooking the dam and Allegheny River up a slope so steep that
technically its almost hands and knees all the way. I got very strong legs and
was wearing special slip resistant boots so I was able to actually do the hike
standing up but it was the hardest hike I ever did.
The first few hundred feet I had to climb giant rocks I almost
fell off once and if I did I probably would not be here writing this right now.
Some rocks are covered in moss others leaves. I took a break by one spotted two
deer and they seen me despite how far away I was from them.
It took a good half hour to make the climb I would walk about
10 feet then lean back on a tree cause the blood was just flowing threw my legs
I could feel it and my asthma was kicking in so I was wheezing too. I drank some
Gatorade and ate slim Jim lol then started up again.
Tree to tree it seemed like an endless mountain. A few times I
slipped and caught myself with one hand and eventually I reached a small field.
I had to get my bearings keep in mind the field had a hidden trail made of
stones, to the back of it was woods with more mountain to climb, and I just laid
down in the field for a little bit. I knew I was really close and unfortunately
I missed the big bend area by a couple hundred feet so I did climb an extra
hundred feet up the mountain for nothing.
I cut to my right and pushed my way threw two trees and there
it was a giant open area. I cannot even describe how I felt just standing at the
edge of a cliff over looking this big open area called the bowl. Basically its a
plateau with cliffs on both sides of it and one opening leads down the mountain
the other up to the peak. In the bowl is a field with a small manmade road that
meanders threw it.
I seen the road a few hundred feet away as I stood at the edge
of the cliff. Now I had to figure out how the hell do I get into the bowl. I
walked along the edge of the cliff thought about climbing the rocks down but
instead found a slope covered in heavy brush. I did go down it and it was rough
got scratched up but it was great to be in the bowl area.
I took the road and some of it was muddy but you could see
that it was laid out with stones which led me to a dead end. At the end of the
dead end was a cliff and unlike the one cliff behind me that had steep edges
this cliff was all collapsing.
Something was not right there was an edge sticking out and
just a giant slope of stones. This was it the sealed cave and believe me I
wanted to get in but more then likely there was tons of rocks blocking the
entrance to this giant cavern.
I climbed up the slope and found above the cliff two trails I
took the one to the right which was actually on the peak of the mountain so I
took photos to show everybody what it looks like from up there. I could see the
dam, river, other mountains etc all from above it was gorgeous.
There was a fire pit up here so people do backpack and hike
here. The trail was not very long and it took me to this open field which had a
few ever green trees. This area was very mystical, secluded and if I lived here
id camp up here. I found a peace symbol made all in rocks here and a man made
fire pit out of stones.
I got back on another trail which led me right back over the
giants cave. Now keep in mind this cave has a story Ill share that later down
the road on the website which will expose this area to the public and maybe
others will come forth privately to me about what really happened here.
I climbed carefully down the slope and walked along the cliff
hoping to maybe find a hole I could climb in cause I did want to get inside the
cave. Not sure if its the best idea afterall what was sealed in here probably
would eat me for lunch but ehhhh what the hell I figured.
I noticed for about 50 feet a lot of rocks were crushed and
mixed in with concrete or anotherwards gypsum. There was part of the cliff
completely blown to pieces. There was a hole in one area of the cliff that may
have been a possible cavern entrance but if it was it was a tight squeeze and I
would not have made it in there.
But you could see that this area was dynamited and if this was
the entrance it was pretty large cause there was at least 50 feet of collapsed
rocks, sand, concrete etc the government sealed it up and they did a hell of a
good job cause even if I tried to get in a shovel or a sledge hammer would have
been useless here.
It was real dismal here I felt something up here watching me
the whole time I mean what do you expect I was alone by myself in the mountains
anything could have gotten me here. I eventually started my hike down off the
mountain.
Jim was waiting for me further down below and we talked on a
two way radio so we did put them to use. There was some giant rock formations on
this side of the peak so I had to be careful not to fall and tumble into them.
The way down was not easy for me.
It was so steep in this area I literally had to sit on my ass
and slide down the mountain I had rocks stabbing me, my hands were all cut up, a
few times I tried to walk down and no matter how hard I tried I kept falling and
after I fell on my arm on a hard rock I said the hell with it and starting
sledding down the mountain.
At times I was traveling very fast I remember going 50 feet at
one time in just a few seconds almost did not stop missing trees and giant
rocks. I made it out to the bottom and took a photo of a sign that says no
trespassing US government property.
I pulled it off no paranormal evidence but I at least am able
to bring our fans a story and expose what really happened here to the public.
Jim was at the hatchery and I took some photos of the river and dam. They were
releasing a lot of water at the time and that river was swirling with high
currents.
We came back to the house as at 3pm we were supposed to head
on out to Counterfeiter's Den.
Counterfeiter's Den
Big Bend really wore me out I took a short nap then Denny
showed up only we got a late start cause Liz and everybody was out at the mall
so this really hurt the investigation cause the den is really not a safe place
so it should be done during the day only.
Well we got out there to late and it was already getting dark.
We started our hike on off into the woods there was no trail it was a straight
shot threw a lot of thorn bushes. We crossed the tracks and went into some more
thick woods eventually coming right on up to a giant cliff.
Denny climbed down some slopes and was at the bottom of the
cliff he found a small cave I told him Ill be down to get some photos. Jim and I
were on top trying to find out where you climb on in. I found some areas near
crevices which looked like possibilities maybe they were maybe not but I wanted
to get inside the den.
We had to be careful here as the rocks along the cliff were
covered with leaves which can be slippery and getting to close to the edge meant
death plain and simple it was a long ways down with rocks below.
It got dark Jim was on the phone chatting with a geocache
buddy and we did not find it. I went off on my own climbed a slope and walked
along the edge of the cliff. I actually found a small little rock den I took
photos in.
This area intrigued me lots of history to the den about a
shoot out and counterfeiter plates hidden in the area etc. At this point Denny
and Jim were right above me on the cliff. Denny got scared of something at the
bottom of the cliff moving out in the woods and wanted to go back to the car.
Jim was freaking out cause his batteries in the gps were almost out which to me
was silly cause I carried plenty of batteries to keep his GPS running all night
long but again nobody listens to me. There lights were out I had 3 other lights
on me so light was not a problem but again nobody listens to me and my
investigation was cut short.
Denny seen a couple white lights moving through the woods I
did not see them and I have to agree something was moving out in those woods
down at the bottom of the cliff. I did ask Denny to meet me down where I was at
and then follow me do the bottom cause I wanted some photos of the crevices,
small caves, and other areas at the bottom of the cliffs for the site.
Well Denny threw a beer bottle and it almost hit me and I was
not in a safe spot actually I was about halfway between the ground and the
cliff. The guys left me and I heard there voice get real faint so they were
heading back to the car without me it really took my heart out of wanting to
come back to this area. As a leader I would never abandoned my investigators but
to be abandoned by them really to me showed me the lack of faith others have in
me and so that was that.
I turned around to try and catch up to them hoping I could
talk common sense into them in letting me stay a little longer well I was so mad
that I lost foot slid down a steep slope and small edge totally over 8 feet. It
was like a water slide and I was sliding so fast I seen the edge and went right
over and fell. I did not get one single injury from my fall but my equipment was
all over the place scattered and I was in the dark picking it all up and putting
it back.
After this I was forced to climb up the steep slope nobody
held a light so I could see what I was doing and nobody cared at this point I
was pretty mad and if Denny was not my friend Id knocked him for a loop believe
me. They hiked separately and I went around the thorn bushes of course because
of me venting so much out in the woods I ended up coming out on a unmarked
grassy road.
Something was following me up the road and it was closing in
on me. I went to take a break tied my shoe and somehow I lost my LED non battery
flashlight it really pissed me off cause it has a lot of nice features on it. I
thought the tracks were above on this hill so I climbed it ended up in some
field with machinery. I could not see the guys lights or hear there voices hell
they didn't even call for me and I was not going to shout cause I did not want
what was following me to pinpoint my location.
I ended up doing an estimation of where the car was and like
crazy I started hiking through thick woods and came right out onto the railroad
tracks. I walked the tracks with no lights on and cut across some woods which
took me right in front of the car.
I was very lucky to come out of this investigation unharmed
but my investigators broke a lot of protocols and because people think they are
my friends they think rules do not apply here. Denny says it must be nice I do
not have to work but what others do not understand is that the paranormal is my
job and I take it seriously and when people do not follow directions that is
when people die, get hurt, get lost, and investigations turn into failures. If I
had perhaps another a few minutes I could have turned out a few more good
ghostly photos.
People do not make sense to me they go into the woods looking
for bigfoot but as soon as they here one noise they want to run back to the car.
Being a paranormal investigator means you investigate the noise you hear if you
run from it your in the wrong business that is what it comes down to.
We got home Denny left not a thank you for coming out not
even have a safe trip. That night I wanted to do the Potters Field and State
Hospital Jill did not pick up her phone and Jim hurt his back so he was done for
the night. I was pretty upset and just took on off for the night to St. Joseph's
Cemetery.
Right before I left to the cemetery Cher took me to the story
and I bought cube steak, gravy, potatoes, and rootbeer.Cher cooked it all up and
we had a nice meal. I wish I could have done more for them but I am a poor
ghostbuster lmao. But it was a nice meal considering it was our last meal that
night before I had to head on home.
St. Joseph's
Cemetery
I had nothing left in me no sleep hardly all week, lots of
hike, my hand was hurting cause it got stabbed by a branch and I felt like crap
to be honest with you. I put together my last night investigation in Warren even
stopped near downtown to gather some photos for the site.
The cemetery was a couple miles away not an easy trip cause
some areas had no sidewalks like the road the cemetery sits on. I found a
railroad bridge I could have taken to get home also but I did not and ill
explain why later.
I climbed a steep hill into the cemetery actually I missed the
entrance did not feel like back tracking. Something was moving around in the
woods on the side of the hill I was to tired to care so I just climbed on my
hands and knees up the hill into the cemetery.
Now if you look back you will see we investigated Oakland
Cemetery in Warren but not St. Joseph's. I did investigate Oakland a second time
but I am going to count it as St. Joseph's considering the two cemeteries are
actually combined as one. So you will eventually see photos from both cemeteries
and hell some that are not even in the cemetery which is okay cause this was one
giant investigation I did which took a couple hours.
I took some photos of the chapel which is being used for
storage. Then went towards the back was hoping to find the potters field its
probably good considering they are deep in the woods up on a hill.
Things were pretty calm in the cemetery ya know a few cold
spots and feeling watched in the older areas by entities. But for the most part
it was nice. I enjoyed the view overlooking Warren. From the mountain I could
see all these historical locations I investigated or photographed.
I was tired so I was dragging. I did not even have the
strength to shoot many photos so you will not see many but you will see some. I
came up to an old old mausoleum and the basement grates were all loose so I
pulled one off to take photos underneath. It appears the basement was filled
with dirt maybe on the backside was a better area to climb in but I was not
going to go in it was small and I had a lot of gear on me. If I had someone with
me Id gone in no problem.
There was a lot of ghost watching me at the mausoleum when I
removed the grate one of them made a noise of sorts I said relax I am going to
put it back and after that things became calmed down. Its pretty cool that you
can go under it though but it would be hands and knees crawling.
I came around the bend and up to some woods and there was
something big moving around sound like it was feasting to be honest with you. I
heard branches breaking and movement. It sounded like it was in the middle of
doing something and it stopped when I yelled out to it. Then all of sudden I
thought now I am not sure I seen two sets of big red eyes stare at me and they
moved from left to right up the mountain not even sure they were animal
like.
I believe it may have been an actual bigfoot cause the
cemetery sits up on a hill and there is mountains/woods behind it so whatever it
was came on down from the woods behind the cemetery. I mean it was big and
making a lot of noise it was not a bear since they are in hibernation right now.
I could not find the potters field and by this time I was
reaching semi old stones working my way down the hill and terraces in the
cemetery. There were a few cool stones but I tried to avoid areas I already
visited a few years back here. I did find an oil well in the cemetery its kind
of odd to see people drilling in a cemetery kind of disrespectful in my own
opinion.
I came on out to the road and this was tough cause I made the
mistake and underestimated my distance to the bridge and how long the refinery
is in Warren. If I would have taken the way back and crossed the railroad bridge
Id been back at the house sleeping in warmth 2 hours earlier but I decided to
walk the road which is not very friendly lots of curves, woods, speeding oil
tanker trucks etc.
The road I took cause I had plans to go further down the
Allegheny river cross it at the bridge and come around to some park. I followed
the dark road for over a mile. Across the river I could see the refinery and all
the flames burning and smoke. The refinery is lit like a city in the town its so
bright and large.
A few tankers passed me by speeding I was not to comfortable
walking on the road not a sidewalk in sight. Strangely I found an oil well off
to the side in the woods with a sealed up concrete entrance with a metal grate
on it.
It was a long road the moon reflected right over the river I
was checking out banks cause along the road they had stone tunnels going under
the road. I was by this time tired, cold, and even hungry. I made my way down
the road and came up to the bridge which strangely sways when your on it.
I crossed the bridge and walked right along the side of the
refinery the gates were wide open no security what ashamed. The place is not
very safe and it should be guarded more cause it really is a hazard to the town.
I followed the refinery and it was eerie no workers out no
cars nobody even walking the streets. Warren is a ghost town at night everybody
hides inside at night. I did make it home but I was out walking for over 3 hours
straight.
I got home and rested for a few hours cause my flight was
leaving the next day and I had to be up in the morning. So we decided to tour a
couple more places the next day.
Oakland Potter's
Field
The potters field I missed by a few feet just hours before but
Jim took me up there and dropped me off. There was a giant stone blocking the
road going up the hill side.
That hill seemed like a mountain to me by this time it was so
rough climbing it. When I got to the top there was a small potters field.
There was about twenty graves probably a few unmarked burials.
I can only imagine at night how eerie this place is and I wish I got to get it
done at night.
Some of the graves were tilted and weathered so bad you could
not read them. They all were very close together. Its a nice little site and a
lot of geocachers visit it so lots of tales passed around about it I am
sure.
Afterwards Jim showed me the grave of the engineer who
designed the Dam and Upper Reservoir.
On the way back to the house I took a few photos of downtown
Warren so you could see some daytime shots. We arrived back at the house I
grabbed my luggage and we left to head back to the airport and the Warren State
Hospital.
Warren State
Hospital
Jim and Cher dropped me off at the front of the hospital. Keep
in mind this is not abandoned but sometimes they give tours of the tunnels
underground and some of the buildings but this happens usually once a
year.
I walked inside and took a few photos. There was a historical
write up on the wall, maps, a steam whistle, and old clock hanging. It looked
pretty historical inside. There was employees walking all over the place I love
how the all gave me dirty looks like I was an escaped mental patient.
Then security peaked his head out of this window and says in a
rude tone what do you think your doing. I said to him I am taking some
historical photos and that Denny worked at this place for twenty years. The fat
ass says to me did you ask my permission I said no but I am now. He told me he
don't care who I know that worked there total prick. So he sent me to the
executives office.
I went into the executives office and there was this young hot
brunette long hair, short skirt, high heels etc sitting at the desk I pretty
much begged the lady to let me take some photos. She says oh I have to ask my
supervisors and they are in a meeting let me take down your name and
number.
So being I was on my way out to the airport I was like forget
it. She then went on about how security had to accompany me and going on about
the privacy act. So I did not get to walk around the grounds. However Jim took
me around and I took photos of the whole asylum from the vehicle.
Not sure if I got any ghostly photos Ill have to study them
but there is some proof that the place has haunting's hence why I wanted to at
least get some photos for our site so others could learn about this place. The
place looks like a castle and I wish I got up there at night probably could have
gotten some ghostly photos but then again security would have probably threw me
off more then likely. Nothing but a bunch of hill billy rent a cops. I really
wish the guy would have laid a hand on me tired or not I would have whooped his
ass being I was not in a good mood at all.
After the state Asylum Investigation or photo tour we went to
Arby's for lunch. I grabbed a couple beef and cheddars along with an apple
turnover yummm. I got to the airport it was real cloudy storms were coming on
in. My flight was rescheduled for another hour later so I had nothing to do for
almost 3 hours called Jill but she was not around called actually a few people
just to past time nobody was home lol.
My flight took off from Buffalo to Atlanta it was the worst
flight I ever took we were in the clouds more then half of the trip. The ride
was so bumpy and so much turbulence that the plane was constantly dropping. It
was so bad that most of the trip I could not even see the wing it was out there
somewhere. We got into Atlanta cloud cover was only a hundred feet off the
ground so what a flight.
Got into there and noticed my next flight was delayed also but
once we hit over Florida all was clear and it was 70 degrees so I was getting
pretty excited lol considering I was in icicle land.
I was pretty beat up at this point cut up hands, cuts on my
face, bruises all over, bad back, sore feet etc all the things that come with
hiking for a week lol. I have no regrets just wish that others would trust what
I say follow my leadership and respect my wishes. You cannot work with others
when they rush you or do not listen to what you say then things become pointless
at even trying to make good things happen.
When I got the airport Lys was not their I freaked out cause
her phone was disconnected. I spent over 2 hours in the pick up area waiting. I
felt like I was dying all hunched over the bench just wanting to get home not
sure what the deal was but she showed up at like 11:30pm.
She ended up turning the wrong way and we ended up going out
to Cape Canaveral which is about 60 something miles out of the way so I did not
get home till about 1 in the morning. When I got home I realized I grabbed an
identical bag and so I had to call the airport and there holding on to my
luggage which I pick up tomorrow so all my clothes are in there and notes from
this investigation. So do not be surprised if I add to this report once its up
on the site cause its hard to remember everything without them.
The weather has been nice here in FL nice 70 degrees. I got
home there was a chocolate cake waiting for me, Final Fantasy XII Play Station
game, and a nice Italian dinner warm in the crock pot. I must had eaten about 4
plates before bed then woke up yesterday morning at 3 more for lunch. Yeah I was
pretty hungry I ended up not taking very good care of myself on this last trip
and that is the truth. I got maybe a few hours a sleep a night and I just worked
so hard at checking out places I did not even pay any mind to my own well
being.
It was nice to see that a few people posted on my forums and a
few worried about me thank you guys it means the world to me. I worked very hard
for my fans out there and believe me the ones who donated are going to see a lot
of nice results from this trip on our site and hopefully once you see them you
will continue to donate to the organization for our cause.
In conclusion to the report we got roughly 17 new places done
and 20 investigations done so I did meet the numbers goal actually passing
it so that is good news. Not all locations will have ghostly or paranormal
evidence but I will share each location and its history on our site for your
enjoyment.
I enjoyed seeing Jim and Cher again hugs are so important
cause you never know if you will see the person again so Jill and Cher both got
one from me. I would like to thank Jim for showing me some new places and
sharing his hobby of geocaching with me. I got my first cache up at the Eating
Fields although I helped him find some last month ago. Not sure why I didn't
sign the one up at Hearts Content shame on me lol Jim you will have to go up
there and sign it for me:)
I did for the most part have a nice time up there but more
then likely I will no longer be investigating this area due to a lot of factors
on this trip if it would have gone differently maybe so but no matter where I go
it seems there is always drama of some sorts. When you don't see your friends in
3 years it should be an honor to your guest to have the founder/president of the
PGS organization and in some ways I felt as if I was more of a burden all
because I wanted to seek out the truth.
It will take awhile to heal up I lost 14 pounds in 6 days my
knee healed up nicely I think what I had was a bad sprain but somehow wearing
the brace for a few days and hiking strengthened enough where I did not need it
so that is good news on my part which means no doctor visits.
Now the updates for this investigation will probably not be
available for about a month I have to do more research, graphics, add in the
reports, and photos it will take awhile since this was such a large scaled
investigation.
I probably will take this weekend off just to rest my sons
have missed me greatly especially my youngest he ran to me so fast and hard
shouting daddy when I walked in that door lol. It was a rough trip I worked
pretty hard to make sure everybodies donations were put to use.
I feel sort of bad I did not come back with more bigfoot
evidence Denny wanted to give me stool samples he found in the woods. But
honestly if everybody were more organized and had let me do my job I probably
could have pulled off more evidence seriously.
When I come to your hometown I need the opportunity to be me I
cannot go according to others its so important I stick to my protocols and make
our members happy otherwise if I do not then we will lose supporters. To some it
does not mean anything to others they think they know it all and tend to
downplay my abilities. I am good at what I do and I can endure a lot more then
most.
All in all this was a team effort we had Kitt and Rich help
with the caves up north then Jim helped me down in Kinzua taking me to new
places. I was pretty hurt that Denny who claims he never has any help or anybody
to explore with the area acted the way he did. For someone who claims to not
have any people help him look for bigfoot he sure does like to show late and
ends up not wanting to go with me to other places.
The thing about bigfoot is when you search for him you cannot
just look in one place this is an elusive beast your going to find him by ponds
at night drinking water, on dark unused trails, climbing rock formations in the
mountains etc and unfortunately the Kinzua area is a pretty area but its being
torn apart by loggers and oil wells hell they are even now in the cemetery its
ashamed.
But I did my job while up there and I brought back a little
bit of everything from ghost stories to Ufo phenomena to even a few bigfoot
tracks. I know for a fact something strange is going on around the town and
surrounding areas I probably will never have the chance to uncover it all not
until others who are part of my team loosen up and just let me do my freaking
job.
So I apologize to others for not getting everything done that
I wanted or more bigfoot evidence but that is what happens when others have a
guest come from out of town which cuts into my investigation. That is what also
happens when people show up late and do not stick to the plans I organize. But
then again people do not care cause its not there money they spent on the plane
ticket.
The main thing is I got to hang with Jim even though he has a
bad back he did get out and help me with some of the places. I will thank Denny
for driving me to a few places but my friend your lack of efforts to compromise
and work with me was the last straw. You want me to expose the truth cause
people call you looney I go out there to assist you in doing so and you treated
this expedition like a joke.
Now I am not sure where the next trip I will take leads me. I
will travel anywhere in this country so I will sit back and see what others have
to say. If you have at least 20 haunted places, can offer a couch, a ride to
them and some assistance I will come to your home city but if I do I want to be
appreciated I do not want to show up and then find out that were not going to do
this or that or end up having you put me on the back burner. I do not like being
excluded trips like these are hard to take between finding a sitter for my sons,
buying food, paying others gas to get 42 miles to the Orlando airport, all the
way from equipment to flying on airplanes it becomes a project.
I am not mad just disappointed is all I try to visit others to
show people I care but there is a line between friendship and what we do here.
The work we do benefits thousands of people and its dangerous if you do not want
to get involved with the dangers then you should not call yourself an
investigator.
All in all I am not mad at anybody I thank again Jim for
showing me places, picking me up from the airport, sharing some geocaches with
me and Cher for the couch and food. That is the program I want to start up for
our members is the offer the couch program like when others come here Ill let
them stay as a guest and if I come to you the same that way we can help one
another out.
But as far as Denny goes hell even Nikki I felt like I got the
cold shoulder from both of them no hello's, great to see you, hell not even a
goodbye or simple thanks. So that is a summary of my trip. My friend Kathy says
sheesh Rick looks like the north you have no luck with lol.
My next plans may be up in New Jersey as I investigate the
pine barrens in search of the Jersey Devil or I may go on out to Tennessee not
sure yet. I need to sit down and take a look at the entire situation see if its
even worth going out of state cause I want to go where what I say is appreciated
and heard. I want my equipment to be put to use and when I need help and
call somebody over to look at something I expect the help.
But despite all the little obstacles I did get a lot done and
brought some exposure to the area which in turn will get people to secretly come
forth and confine to me about what is really happening up in certain areas of
Kinzua such as the Big Bend Cavern Coverup or what really happened at Heart's
Content on Valentines Day when the government quarantined the area and asked the
locals to remain silent.
My opinion of the Warren area is bigfoot has moved out further
probably towards Kane which is a little deeper out in the woods less houses, no
logging, and more seclusion. Lots of sightings and tracks are found in the area
so something is going on out in these woods will we uncover it maybe so maybe
not but the world awaits The Paranormal & Ghost Society!
Thank you members, friends, and colleagues for all your kind
support, donations, words of concern and assistance. I do hope that others can
appreciate and grasp all the hard work we have done and now that should put to
rest all them hate groups up north who have been slandering us, making jealous
remarks and not showing an ounce of support cause I pulled it off despite all of
the adversity.
When I went to these caves I lost a lot of long time members
they thought hey this guy is bsing us but no no no you see its the other way
around and we came out of the catacombs will some awesome photos and again
destiny has been fulfilled and hopefully in the near future some TV producers
will be picking us up due to our recent hard work so definitely good news for
us. We have also surpassed 10,000 members, with 9 paranormal forums, 1000 hits a
day on our site, and over 50,000 photos on our site with 4 out of state
investigations just this year alone! Not to mention we made 4 newspapers in a
months time that's pretty good too. When I go out of town its not to vacation
its to work for my members nothing more or less I get dirty just like anybody
else in the woods.
So our hard work and efforts speak for themselves so again
thank you for all those who believe in me! Jill maybe sometime Ill come up to
Bradford we can work out sometime something out like half and half on a ticket
and will do some places up in your area.
I just want to make sure when I plan something that its run by
me being I am in charge of investigations and expeditions. I think because some
of my friends think they are older that they are in command and it does not work
like that. Its all about knowledge and experience if you do not trust your
leader then that leader will go to where he can be trusted.
So with that in mind it is time for me to rest catch up on
emails. I had over 5 emails from my recent Orlando Sentinel article one lady
wants us to spend the night at a haunted hotel. So we are for real and soon we
will be surpassing the 700th investigation mark. So this is my story and I am
sticking to it. My report is not meant to step on any toes but this is what
really happened and when anybody donates to our group I make sure they see both
the bad and good of every investigation we partake in. But a final thank does go
out to Kitt, Matt, Lys, Rich, Jim, Cher, Denny, Nikki, and Jill for some of
the efforts given. I just think that a few people within that group need to get
more organized especially when I plan such trips way ahead of time!! I also am
not a sit in the car and watch person people do not get bigfoot footage sitting
in there cars its just a fact I know this from hiking out in the FL woods he is
out there but he is in the woods not on the road.
All in all its good to be back home still have to take down
all my Halloween Decor since I was out of town for a week. I will be healing my
wounds and getting set up for our trip up to Gainesville and Saint Augustine
soon! I may add to this report later we shall see. Ill be reviewing photos in a
few weeks, adding them to the site, and doing write ups on all the areas as
well!
It was an amazing journey these projects were really years in
the making such as the caves and other areas out in Kinzua. I will probably be
moving out west in the near future which will be in an area that is very much
like Warren Kinzua area lots of dams, mountains, woods, old cemeteries etc
should be interesting! Also lastly over 1000 photos were taken on this trip
between Jim and myself. Hopefully Kitt will be posting my interview inside the
cave on youtube in the near future for everybody to enjoy.
