Subject: Spring Show Preview (and call for DC-area alumni)
Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!

I just wanted to give you folks a heads up about the upcoming Glee
Club Spring Show - "Shorts Illustrated: Miracle on Rice," an Olympic-
themed show written by our very own Mark Glassman!  A short blurb on
the plot synopsis is at the bottom of this email.

The show will be Thursday-Saturday February 21-23 in the Zellerbach
Theater.  That's just 2 weeks away, so go and buy your plane/train
tickets now if you haven't already!

There will, of course, be a GCGC Reception on the afternoon before the
Saturday performance.  I'm still ironing out the details with the
current undergraduate Glee Club Board, and I'll get you that
information as soon as I have it - in all likelihood, it will be
sometime between 2pm and 5pm.

Also - if any of you folks live in the DC area, please shoot me an
email - there is a rumor that the Glee Club might be headed our way
later in the spring, and I want to get a head count of alums who live
in the area.

Here's the show synopsis:
Join the Glee Club for their first trip back to China since 2004 when,
in "Shorts Illustrated: Miracle on Rice," they journey to Beijing to
take part in the 2008 Olympics. The American athletes plan on
competing in gymnastics, weight-lifting, swimming and even table
tennis, but disaster strikes! In a random drug screen, they all test
positive for performance-enhancing drugs except the puny table tennis
team. Now, the perennial losers, the table tennis team, must compete
in sports they've never played before!

See you all in 2 weeks!

Cheers,
Matt
