Dear NJ Residents,

Last night I had sent out a notice about Christie trying to implement a TRU-ID program without allowing the public to provide any input into spending millions of dollars on something that violates our privacy. Don't be fooled, these actions mean to cut down voter registration .

Besides with the budget problems where is Christie getting the money to do this??? Maybe the answer lies in the backroom deal cut between Christie and Sweeney. For the past 2 years Sweeney has buckled to Christie on the Millionaire's Tax..... let's make sure that doesn't happen again.

We need you to take action right now:

Please sign the petition below and contact your  legislators and tell them to reject any budget deal that doesn’t ask millionaires to pay their fair share!

You can look up your legislators here: http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/districts/municipalities.asp

Tell your state senators to fight for a millionaires tax.

Urgent news. Reports are that Gov. Christie and Senate President Sweeney have struck a backroom deal on a tax plan for this year’s budget even as new reports show the state's finances are a mess and the 'New Jersey comeback' the Governor promised was full of hot air.

If it passes, millionaires will once again get a free ride at a cost to essential services on which working families rely -- and we just can't let that happen.

Word is that some Senators in the Statehouse are pushing back but we have very little time to make a difference.

We need you to take action right now: Sign this petition to the NJ State Senate urging them to reject any budget deal that does not ask millionaires to pay their fair share!

We also have two phone banks taking place:

6:00 pm today, Tuesday May 15th in New Brunswick:
Food & Water Watch
100 Bayard Street
4:00 pm tomorrow, Wednesday May 16th in Newark:
CWA 1037
30 Clinton Street

If you can attend or mobilize others to attend, please rsvp with om...@njworkingfamilies.org. With Trenton in disarray we have a good chance at making an impact on the debate, but we need to move fast.

Thanks for all you do,

Bill Holland
