Rethink Afghanistan: Filmmaker Robert Greenwald Launches Film Opposing Escalation of War

As the eighth anniversary of the US-led bombing of Afghanistan draws closer, the Obama administration continues to debate the best way to fight this ongoing war.

The military approach to Afghanistan is not succeeding; further application of American military force will not bring stability to the country or security to our own.

With over 90 percent of U.S. funding in Afghanistan directed toward military purposes, non-military strategic options are not being pursued.

The problems facing Afghan society are economic, social and political in nature, and require economic, social and political solutions.

The U.S. can play a more constructive role in Afghanistan by engaging civil society than by waging war

Admission Free  -  Donations Appreciated  -  Refreshments will be served

Picket or Sit-In

For Medicare for All

 (single payer national health insurance)

Wednesday, October 28

12:30

(gather at noon behind Penn Station, Newark)

Blue Cross, 3 Penn Plaza East

Newark, NJ

To All Supporters of Medicare for All:

We need you to step up and take action with us on Wednesday, Oct. 28 for Medicare for All.  Momentum is with us and we have to keep it going.

We understand that people have work, etc and of course, not all can come, but please ask yourself if what you have planned for Wednesday is more important than showing visible resistance against "for profit" insurance companies,by supporting single payer health care, the only real public option that will work for all.  A strong support group for those risking arrest is critical, so let's be there.

Come and bring a friend.  Go to www.mobilizeforhealthcare.org for more info re: National Day of Action for Medicare for all - Patients, Not Profits, and to sign the pledge.  Let us know if you will be there for Health Care for All.

In Solidarity,
Carol Gay and Ellen Whitt , Central Jersey Health Care NOW
