Hi Y'all,

I've uploaded a sample word document that you could use to post at
work or distribute to colleagues/friends/random people. It's in the
files, named "Sample Bike Month Notice – 2008.doc". (Clearly the
information in pink needs to be revised for your specific situation).

Also, we're having more official looking Bike to Lunch and Work fliers
printed, let me or Vivian know if you'd like a few.

kindly,
Kate

Last year I rode to BottleTree for the free muffin they said they'd give us, and no one there knew anything about it.  So it might be worthwhile to have a clipout coupon-looking item to say "bring this" to get your discount/item, when it's really just physical proof to the store that they did agree to do what we're requesting.

maybe.  maybe not.

This year I will call to remind all the merchants the morning of Bike to Lunch Day.

I’ll take this opportunity to ask all you readers to please take part in Bike to Work Week.

Wednesday the 14th is Bike to Lunch Day. I will post the names of the restaurants and merchants participating ASAP. Please encourage everyone you can to ride to lunch on Wednesday and show his or her helmet for a discount.

Also, Bike to Work Day is Friday the 16th. We will be setting up a table at City Hall with breakfast refreshments again and handing out the remainder of Monin’s generous donation of water bottles. If anyone wants to join in the efforts of greeting riders like we did last year, please let me know. Karen won’t be there this year so I need a new cheerleader to fill her position.

If you can’t help that morning, please ride your bike by and wave!!

Yep, sorry about that - it was my fault. I delivered the fliers after
Bottletree had closed the day before the event. I meant to go by
there in the morning, but forgot.

Maybe between Vivian's reminders and my renewed pledge to get the
fliers to the right places - it will all work out this time.

Well, I can come by and help Friday morning. The latest I can get to
work is 9am, but if that is long enough, then Ill happily come by,
since I didn't get to help out at DD (work always gets in the way!).

I think it would totally be cool if we got a BTeam lunch too, if
anyone is in!?

Hi Vivian - I'll try to come by for a little while - probably around 8:00ish.
