Irresponsible Reporting by HinduUnity.org against Rahul Gandhi

I am not sure whether any one of you would have seen How Congress M.P. Rahul Gandhi was
victimised by a U.S. Based web portal HinduUnity.org.
For the sake of sensational news and cheap publicity, such irresponsible reporting ,must be condemned and it is a lesson for all of us always don't immediately believe what you read.
Wait till the truth. I think the same is also applicable for UU professors and we hope that they will come out clean.

When we are pointing fingers at a respectable person , we must have some credible evidence.
That is why OTN has a policy , first ask the alleged person if e-mail id is available , wait for a week
for his response and then assume that he is guilty.

NEW DELHI: A week after Congress MP Rahul Gandhi slapped a legal notice on the website
hinduunity.org, the portal's promoter Ezboad Inc apologised for the malicious report posted on the website.
Ezboad on Saturday said, "We do not support what has been said on hinduunity.org".
The website was blanked out after certain objectionable reports about Rahul appeared in newspapers attributing it to the website.
Party spokesman and senior lawyer Abhishek Singhvi, who had sent the notice to Rohit Viasman and Ezboad Inc in San Francisco on February 3, said, "I am particularly happy that the perversity and falsity of such motivated publications has been exposed and a full withdrawal achieved in the shortest possible time without litigation".
The report had upset Congress bosses as did Viasman's professed links with Bajrang Dal. Incidentally, there have been previous instances where the party had intervened to prevent an attempt to malign and defame the young leader.
Just last month, Singhvi had demanded an apology from international news magazine Newsweek for alleging that Rahul did not have a college degree.
The magazine had run a profile of the leader and indicated that he had not held a job or earned a degree despite having been in various educational institutions. The magazine carried a detailed clarification thereafter.
In a similar instance, Bollywood director Jagmohan Mundra had invited the party's ire when he announced a film based on Congress president Sonia Gandhi's life.
The project - rumoured to star Italian actress Monica Bellucci as Sonia - met an early end when Singhvi issued a legal notice to Mundhra.
In the recent past, reports maligning Feroze Gandhi have also made their way on websites.

The identity of the two persons and the website is not certain but the Congress has taken the exceptional step of issuing a notice in order to prevent the "unhinged minds" in committing the same crime of daring to malign the reputation of a person in public life and having a honoured stature.
Rahul Gandhi was accused by a little-known site, Hinduunity.org for raping a girl named Sukanya in Amethi. According to the website, Sukanya, daughter of a Congress worker was gangraped by Rahul and his friends. As per the website, Sukanya met Rahul Gandhi around 9 pm, when he was in Amethi.
He spoke to her for a couple of minutes and later he and his friends offered her liquor. "Sukanya was amazed seeing all this, she was not feeling comfortable, she refused to have liquor and took permission to leave, but she was forced to stay back and drink.
She kept resisting, but they raped her one by one. She cried for help, but her cries fell on deaf ears. Even the security personnel preferred to remain as mute spectators," states the website.
According to party sources, the Congress first thought of ignoring the report as both the website and the persons responsible for the charge are not confirmed.
It took the Congress leaders a week's time to search the website and the identity of the persons running the same. The website is believed to have the support of Bajrang Dal. Names, according to Congress Spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi, cannot be confirmed as they are residing somewhere abroad.
Condemning the report, the notice served on the two persons says, "This publication exceeds and excels even worst standards of scurrilous, perverted and gutter-writing and is obviously emanation of diseased minds, acting at the behest of maliciously-motivated elements, who cannot digest his standing and popularity in India and globally."
The notice goes on to add, "The content of this publication are so incredible and so outrageous that normally even any response would amount to dignifying and recognizing the outpourings of unhinged minds.
However, in view of Rahul Gandh's stature as a public figure and to obviate any notion by you that you can get away with any criminal and uncivilized behaviour, we are sending this notice to you."
The notice said, "We intend to prosecute you and all your associates, abettors and co-conspirators, all criminal and civil liabilities under law. My client shall strain any sinew to punish you with exemplary punishment and pursue you relentlessly for your misdemeanours, to make example out of you to deter such wild and irresponsible writings and behaviour by you and others."
The Congress hopes that the strong notice would deter persons with perverted minds to indulge in the gamble of defaming Rahul Gandhi and all such persons of repute. The notice has been served through email and courier.

The following is the information that Hindu Unity has gathered. Around 9 P.M all of them were drinking liquor at a V.I.P. guest house in a high security zone. They had an uninvited guest, a young girl named Sukanya Devi, 24 years of age, a staunch follower of Nehru-Gandhi family and daughter of Congress worker Balram Singh. 
 Sukanya was looking for an opportunity to meet Rahul Gandhi since last two years and on that fateful night she able to meet him. Sukanya's family has been supporting the Congress party since the time of Nehru. When she met Rahul he spoke to her for a couple of minutes and later he and his friends offered here liquor. Sukanya was amazed seeing all this, she was not feeling comfortable, she refused to have liquor and took permission to leave, but she was forced to stay back and drink. She kept resisting, but they raped her one by one. She cried for help, but her cries fell on deaf ears. Even the security personnel preferred to remain as mute spectators. She kept weeping all along and was threatened and asked to keep her mouth shut. She was given Rs.50,000 /-. She straightaway went to the local police station. The police refused to book any complaint and asked her to go home. Before she could reach home, Congress workers had gathered at her house and gave a different version of the incident to her father. They accused her of trying to seduce Rahul Gandhi. Her father Balram Singh, without giving her a chance to explain what had happened to her beat her up mercilessly. Balram Singh learnt the facts from others who were witness to the crime, but he preferred to remain quite as he did not want to challenge Rahul Gandhi and the Congress Party. Sukanya's mother Sumitra Devi, who learnt about the whole incident immediately went with her daughter to Police HQ in Amethi. The Police officials refused to book any complaint and advised her to remain quite. She went from pillar to post pleading for justice, but no one heard her pleas. Sumithra Devi gave a statement in a press conference with a very thin attendance and there she was confronted by Congressmen who physically assaulted both mother & daughter. On 27th December 2006 Sumithra Devi went to New Delhi to meet Sonia Gandhi. Sonia refused to meet her. With no options left she went to Human Rights Commission who just noted down her complaint and asked her to leave. The Congressmen have threatened to kill both Sumithra Devi and her daughter Sukanya if she makes the rape issue public. Both the mother and daughter are in despair trying to seek justice. Both mother and daughter were camping in New Delhi for over a fortnight to get an appointment with the President of India. They have not got an appointment either with the President or with the Chief Justice. Both mother and daughter are now in hiding. If the Congressmen don't kill her, the Opus Di (secret service of the Vatican) definitely will. It is important that we locate Sumanthra Devi and Sukanya, offer them protection <hr /> UPDATE (January 19th 2007)Some Important Information Sukanya and her Mother had approached Human Rights Commision as well as Women Rights Commision in New Delhi in December. It is 100% Confirmed that Human Rights Officials took their complaint in a lighter vein and sent them off asking them to come back after they call for. They have asked for substantial evidence to prove their charges before going in for action. They complained that the police and local administration refused to take their complaint. Human rights was no different, they were more interested in sending them away. Surprisngly no medical examination was ordered by the Commission and no doctor or institution was willing to examine after it learnt the name of the accused. Sukanya and her Mother had stated in their complaint to the human rights that No Doctor around Amethi or elsewhere were willing to examine her charges. The Human rights was no different. After me! eting human rights Officals both Sukanya and her mother Sumithra devi went to Womens Commission in New Delhi and lodged a complaint. The Woman rights also refused to come with a medical report and a police Complaint when Rahul was named as the main suspect. The women at Commsion made her speak to Girija Vyas on telephone who was not available in office on that particular day. Girija Vyas who as soon as she heard their names said "I have already recieved complaint from people from Amethi and Salman Khursheed thatyou (Sukanya and Your mother) were into flesh Trade, She alleged that sukanya and her mother used to induce poor girls and force them into prostitution. she insisted them to first meet Salman Khursheed if not she warned them with serious consequences if false charges are made against Rahul or making this issue public. She suggested them to also meet Ambika Soni if they are not comfortable meeting Salman Khursheed. Sukanya and her mother contacted Am! ika Soni from the Womens Rights Office itself. She asked them to come and meet her at the earliest without even wasting anymore time. Sumithra Devi refused to go to her place saying she feared for her and her daughter's life. Amika Soni assured them that nothing will happen to them and she will send a vehicle to pick them. Before she could say anything both ladies left the premisis immediately It is also true that both women had meet Barkha Dutt on the same day and have gone underground since then maybe because they were threatned by Congressman or may be waiting for Presidential reply. Burkha Dutt had offered them some money as compensation. This is the also the last time she meet our contact person in New Delhi and is not available since then. The President has referred the matter to Ministry of Home Affairs. A reporter of CNN-IBN's camerman who recoreded the statement of Sukanya and her mother has also gone missing since then. Videographer Drupadh who took a! n interview of his sukanya and her mother on 4th noon on in unknown place on outskirts of amethi. He had sent the cassette to his head office hoping to be an exclusive story on their channel. The Channel inturn kicked him out of the job and he has gone missing since then. Some Suspect that Drupadh can be a key witness and must still be possessing one set of copy of interview . Many people have gone misssing after December 4 in Amethi and no police Cases are registered. I am collecting the list of people who are gone missing since then. Kindly make the following correction in the post on Sukanya Devi. Her mother's name is Sumithra Devi. Kindly make correction wherever her name has been spelt as Sumanthra Devi. | |
