My application is having problems with the api server
I have an application based on the v2.0 API (openomy.rb). This application has been running fine for weeks. It performs an off-site backup of several websites. Within the past week I am now getting "503 Service Temporarily Unavailable" messages back from api.openomy.com. I have read about the virtual DDOS attack that the files server has been... more »

Problem in openomy api page
On the api page ([link]) where it talks about creating signatures there is a serious error that makes it impossible to generate valid signatures if you just follow the spec. It states: Construct an HMAC-SHA1 of the following pattern: HTTP-VERB\n relativeUri\n date\n... more »

Site
I've been having problems connecting with the site for the past couple days, and openomystatus isn't saying anything. I'm still able to download files, but can't get to the main page to log in.

Authenticating
I've been reviewing some older messages about authenticating an application with the pre 2.0 API. Now I'm thinking I may not be doing authentication correctly with the 2.0 API. Incidentally I've created a non-web application. 1. Do I need to get a confirmed token every time the user logs in, or... more »

Openomatic, an Application that uses the .Net API Implementation
A Windows application that allows files to be uploaded and downloaded from the Openomy server. Openomatic resides in the system tray and allows for file manipulation through a right-click context menu. For now the file is available from the Openomy server at: [link]... more »

Openomy .Net API Implementation Available
The first version of the Openomy API as a .Net assembly is now available, for now you can get it from Openomy of course! Download from [link] Things to note: - there are no binary files, source code only - requires the .Net 2.0 SDK to compile... more »

Make file public
Hi, So I have this windows tray application that's almost ready for its first release (along with a partial C# implementation of the API), but I want to be able to make a file public. I see that in 2006 this feature was requested but I don't see an implementation in the 2.0 API. Am I missing something?... more »

openomy.rb and file lists
Dear Openomy, I'm trying to play with your Ruby implementation and the latest openomy.rb module but I keep getting errors, some functions just don't work. I'm on Ruby 1.8.6. I took your example script and tried to get a list of all my files instead of changing the tag as you show. require "openomy"... more »

Add File
After reading the API documentation and looking at the sample Ruby file (I've never used Ruby so I'm probably missing the obvious) I have constructed a rudimentary C# application to connect to Openomy. I'm able to connect and get a confirmed token and all tags, unfortunately uploading a file doesn't work like I expect.... more »
