The facts:

People living paycheck to paycheck will
spend the additional money immediately.

Low income individuals will buy items that
help the local economy. Food, clothing
household items and appliances.

A dollar spent in the local economy
will have a ripple effect on 7 additional
individuals and merchants.

The mechanism to do this already
exists and will be easy to repeat.

The effect of this is also on the record
by the results of GDP growth in 2003
for the third quarter of almost 9%.

The Child Tax Rebate Checks began
going out July 25, 2003. The Checks
of $400 went to 25 Million TAXPAYERS.

This is an INVESTMENT of $10 Billion
to gain $297 Billion of potential new growth.
(9% quarterly growth on 2006 GDP)
http://siteresources.worldbank.org/DATASTATISTICS/Resources/GDP.pdf.

It is quick.
It is effective.
It has been proven.
It will be temporary.
More importantly, this tax rebate will actually pay for itself.
