Cheetah - Cabin Width and Frame Rails

I've been looking at the Cheetah and it appears that the structural
design is fairly simple. The planes formed by the inside walls of the
aluminum riveted tub continue forward where the tub narrows down to
pick up the front suspension, and aft into the welded section to pick
up the rears. The design is very simple using these two planar beams
in bending on either side of the driver to pick up all the main loads.
The rear is also fairly nicely done with a rear bulkhead to mount the
differential and open space to allow almost any engine to be fitted.
Looking at my engine here, it looks like the main frame rails must be
spaced fairly wide for a single occupancy car, 20 inches at a minimum
for engine removal.

What is the lateral spacing between the two main rails or beams of the
Cheetah?

The Cheetah was designed from the outset to take either a m/c engine or an auto engine with a Hewland, so the engine bay is quite spacious. I'm sure any DSR-legal engine will fit without issue, and probably any I-4 m/c engine, but I'll get the inside measurement later today. Stan

Bruce at Omni Fab tells me it's 22-1/2" wide x 24" long (front to rear).

Ive just this morning updated my cardomain site on the project car.

It's looking closer in frame concept right now to an Ariel Atom. My
frame is 24 inches wide at the seat back which is fairly chubby looking
from some angles but looking down, I know that I can hoist the engine
straight out. The tubing narrows down aft, probably 20" centers by the
back of the engine and less around the gearbox. It looks good overall
in person, but the digital doesn't have a wide enough angle to really
see it well in the cramped basement.
