Subject: on the road again!

hey Don....    thanks again for the visit...   quite an inspiration, u know?     gives me hope that I'll be able to get my system up and running somewhat like your outfit...  not as involved though.   I'll go bare basics I think.    It was great to meet with you and Heather...   had a good time talking over things with both of you.
Just to let u know, I managed to make it to Davis Caves' EarthFest.....   about 2 p.m.  .....   I was running a little late, but the time zone change gave me an extra hour... I'd forgotten about that!     I visited the vendors, picked up a couple of things... (like a solar battery charger for AA.. AAA.. C & D cells....)   ,  of course had lunch....    burger... corn on the cob.. strawberry shortcake.
Sunday I went on the home tour.....   got to see 4 underground/ earth bermed or sheltered homes....  really neat!    get to see what different people have done... get to hear how they like them...
it's good to see people moving ahead like this....   one guy started talking about how we just can't keep living they way we have been...   the system is definitely straining and starting to break down.
was is Hank Williams, Jr who sang   'a country boy will survive'?    keeping it real and keeping it sustainable ......   there's definitely hope for us!
ahem!   yeah, yeah.... dusting off the soapbox...   I get stirred up after getting run down for so long...
hope my little garden does ok...   there's rain in the forecast.      out here I've had good weather... some rain, a little chilly last night in the van....   good roads in Ohio...    lots of hills in Missouri... a surprise to me after the flat land of Indiana & Illinois.
well, ttyl!      and thanks again for everything.....   DaveH
