Good morning Odyssey families,

We had a successful first day of school for our Preschool/VPK and 1st-6th grades at the lower campus. As expected the first day of school, our afternoon car loop was backed up. To help alleviate some of our congestion, please take note of the following:

·         Parents should use the car loop, rather than parking and walking up, to pick up children.

·         Please display your car loop sign, with your child’s grade level and name, in your windshield. If you don’t have one you can make one or stop in the office for one.

·         We will be forming 2 lines for pick up – up to the curve area. Cars will enter the pick up area alternating one by one from the 2 lanes. This will get our traffic off of Eldron Blvd.

Thank you for your patience on the first day!

Thanks Wendi. Really need a sign at the start of the parking lot reminding people to form two lanes. Also I wanted to comment that the years when we alternated 7 cars at a time up to the school sidewalk;, when  a staff person was both calling off kids names and allowing 7 cars at a time, worked so well from my perspective. I was very sad to see that disappear. From a parent perspective it seemed to flow the best of any method.

Thanks- Nasima
