DS Orchestra
Im organising an event inspired by the awesome
http://chiptunemarchingband.com/
and thanks to the support of
http://pixelh8.co.uk/ for the opening of
FACT's Space Invaders show which explores ideas around 'game space' in
all its forms
We're using a unique 'samba band' version of Matthews Music Tech
Master Stroke DS software hes made for us (and with a bit of luck
he'll be playing alongside some people from the kittenrock label) with
a group of kids from a primary school in Widnes and are going to do
some kind of gig at the opening night hopefully with portable amps and
speakers so we can march through the FACT lobby.
But we dont want to be DS fascists so we are open to anyone bringing
their own DIY electronic noise makers even if the bit you did yourself
was find a musical iphone app or buy a stylophone! Im thinking of it
as a good way to get my game obsessed son doing something with his DS
as a group and an opportunity for me to do some music DIY, im hoping
to build a cracker box amp with an OP438
http://makezine.com/09/crackerboxamp/
and maybe

Wanted to get the interface amnesty crew down and anyone else
interested to make a big old game inspired noise and maybe build a few
things at a few liverpool hackspaces. Anyways hope to see some of you
down at Badformat tomorrow night and we can talk about it.
