I will be reversing the offset, i.e. swapping the input and output, of
the NVFMA Tysons Corner D-STAR repeater on Tuesday afternoon, July 1.
This change is already reflected in the
http://www.tmarc.org/freqs/144VA.shtml web page. Perhaps you noticed.
The new output will be 145.34 MHz. Input will be -600KHz or 144.74 MHz.
This is NV4FM C. Background is that the construction coordination
was unusual and we have have been asked to flip the repeater back to the
standard for this area. So please be prepared to change your radios if
you plan to continue to use this repeater. This is the normal offset
direction for this subsection of the 2m band.
Thanks and 73, Tom Azlin n4zpt.
The 2m Tysons D-STAR is now programmed 145.34- so change your radios! I
updated
http://d-star.mit.edu/index.php?title=Northern_Virginia_FM_Association
and
http://www.d-starusers.org/repeaters.php listings.
We now have more separation between the 146.91 FM output and the 144.74
D-STAR input but less separation between the 146.31 FM input and the
145.34 D-STAR output. So less FM to D-STAR concern and more D-STAR to
FM concern. Little was reported since Feb so perhaps no issues at all.
