I just talked to VK8HF in Darwin, Australia, over our Tysons Corner 2m
D-STAR repeater. We are live. He called CQ minutes after the last
connection was made.
We will shortly publish the registration links. If you are already
registered, you do not need to re-register. Once registered you can
make gateway calls or use a DVDongle to connect into the repeater via

Hi.
I will be reversing the offset, i.e. swapping the input and output, of
the NVFMA Tysons Corner D-STAR repeater on Tuesday afternoon, July 1.
This change is already reflected in the
[link] web page. Perhaps you noticed.
The new output will be 145.34 MHz. Input will be -600KHz or 144.74 MHz.

If you remember, I don't charge for conversion if someone brings me a radio.
At the moment there are some good deals on EBAY now for this stuff.
 
 
 
(If I have to buy the stuff, then convert it, I don't feel at all bad about charging for it.)
 
 
Looks like today is the day for radios that will make a fine 2m conversion.

Sorry, I don't have a ladder anymore. When my wife and I became empty nesters we sold our house and moved into our townhouse where I don't need a ladder.

Do send me the directions, please.

On another note, I sent in my application and membership fee some time ago although that check hasn't cleared yet. Maybe you can guide me to the person with whom I should talk. Since I use the repeaters frequently, I want to be sure to support them with my fees as well as my hands (smile).

Your participation would be much appreciated. Still putting together the
pieces. one thing that would be helpful, if you have one, would be an
extension ladder in the 16-20 foot range. Also, you'll want to bring
goggles and gloves. Will send directions to the Tysons site later.
