On Saturday, December 5, 2009 at about 4:08pm, the victims of the
business in the 4300 block of St. Claude Ave., reported they were
attempted to place U.S. Currency in the register. While the victim
was walking to the register with the money in her hand, the arrested
subject acted as if he had a gun. The subject stated to the victim
“give me the money”. The victim replied “I don’t have any money”. The
arrested subject told the victim He wanted the money in her hand. The
arrested subject's right arm had a dark color shirt wrapped around
it. The victim then gave the subject the money which was in multiple
denominations fearing that a gun was under the shirt. The subject then
fled the scene on foot.
The subject was arrested by Fifth District officers.
