“WORST TO FIRST 2010” CAMPAIGN GOAL: HAVE NJ MATERNITY CARE BE “THE BEST” “FIRST” IN THE NATION BY 2010 In 2008, New Jersey has a 39.4% average Cesarean rate. This is the WORST in the Nation. The Goal is to Re-Educate Providers with Evidence-Based Care as per the World Health Organization & New Jersey Healthy People 2010 Goals
2010 GOAL: 5% OR LESS EPISIOTOMY RATES AT ALL NJ HOSPITALS SO FAR, OUT OF 51 HOSPITALS, ONLY 10 NJ HOSPITALS ARE BELOW 5% NJ Hospital Episiotomy Rates 2008
