Has anyone heard the new CD by the Chilli Pipers? The band say they
are "Drums with a Glasgow accent - and a show so hot it carries its
own health warning." This has to be one of the best names for a band
around and a great novelty act.

I just listened to a wonderful track by a guy called Lindsey Ross. This was
on Cameron Stout's Trad100 show of last weekend (you can still listen to
this show on BBC Scotland's listen again player) I then tried to get info
on Lindsey Ross and found out that the guy is now dead. What a wonderful
track this was. I'm wondering though ... Was lindsey Ross an accordion

I'm trying to track down any information about a talented singer of
Traditional Scots songs named Andrew Macpherson.
He recorded about 12 songs as far as I know in the 1950s.
Songs he recorded include: Eriskay Love Lilt, Land of Heart's Desire,
Kishmul's Galley and, Road to the Isles, My nannie's awa', Scotland
