Subject: Using moleskine with blackberry
Over the last few years, I've come to notice that more and more people
tend to use their BlackBerry and the Moleskine - and I'm one of many
who's on the verge of marrying my Moleskine. Soon I'm going to get my
first Blackberry, but what I really am wondering about is: What makes
people use them together? I think its utterly brilliant, but I want to
know what you use it for etc.

But how do you use the both of them? Do you have your schedules in
your Moleskine, Blackberry or both?
How do you mix them?

i use my blackberry for scheduling.. my calendar lives there..

i sync it up with ical, and i also use the google sync thingie to
sync to gcal..

so my calendar is always good..

i also use my blackberry for facebook(http://www.facebook.com/
home.php#/profile.php?id=825085594) and twitter (http://twitter.com/
sergio_101) along with all the other google apps..

i keep my tasks (and whole life) on tracks (http://
www.rousette.org.uk/projects/), and keep reminders with sandy (http://
iwantsandy.com/)..

i keep all my throw away todos, i use one of those little foldy
planner things (i can't find a link right now.. anyone know what
those things are called?) stuffed in my moleskine...

and for writing on everything, i use a lamy safari (http://
www.lamyusa.com/safari.html)..

which leaves.. my moleskine!

i use this to write down all the stupid ideas i have and flesh them
out.. so that my brain doesn't have to remember all these things..

i have yet to find some kinda note taking and planning device that i
like as much as paper and pen..

so whenever i am waiting in line, or doing something where i don't
have to think, i am doodling and completing ideas in my moleskine..

Another devotee of Sandy and BlackBerry here. I let Sandy keep track
of stuff that needs reminders, my moleskine is for data capture, and
project development. I'm a writer, so it also captures story/character
ideas.

I appreciate your response. I don't have a Blackberry -- and am not likely
to go there, although I have been tempted at times.

But I have wondered if I did what would happen to my paper and pens in the
PIM context.

Now I can see how it all might fit.

My fine point Lamy Safaris are much loved, as are my Moleskines.

I am aware in recent past that quality issues I carped about so much a year
or so ago seem to be solved -- so kudos to the company for that. Having
communicated directly and very positively with the American distributor, I
am sure his influence in this area carried much weight.

I recently bought a hard cover pocket 18-month calendar Moleskin that starts
today, and a pocket flexible cover Moleskine.

I chose the hard cover for the calendar because it has an address book
insert.
