It's just quiet -- not much has been discussed. I'm happily using
the "new" Volants and a Miquelrius (shock, horror! But they *are*
thick...) for notes, and my trusty, goes everywhere with me 2009
planner on a daily basis.

In my planner, I flag the current week with a Post-it page flag

This weekend, I decide to give the spiral notebook a try. So I bought
a relatively cheap (under $4) one from Bob Slate stationer: heavy-
weight paper, unruled, 80 pp, with a Harvard University insignia on
the cover. But after writing in it for about 8 hours, I had to go back
to the Moleskine XL Cahier.

This might be heresy here, but I'm looking for a good spiral-bound
notebook with perforated pages. I've been using Moleskine XL cahiers
and have been very happy with them. But a spiral-bound notebook can
lie more flat and more compact, and I'm missing that convenience. Can
anyone suggest a good brand? I'd prefer non-white pages and slightly

Managed to phone them today. Seems they haven't got any of my emails
to none of their addresses. OK... They said they'd see to it this
afternoon and give me a call back before the end of business. They
hadn't. We'll see if they ship anything in the post.

An order went missing from them. It took them a long time to do
anything, including reply, so I went to Visa and got a chargeback
against them.

They were selling their goods at RRP so I started buying from Amazon,
who were much cheaper at the time.

Hello all,

Does anyone have any experience of dealing with these people,
especially when there's a problem with their order? I received my
leather diary on Thursday, but since there was a problem with it, I've
tried to contact them about it. No reply so far from any of their
email addresses. I haven't had a chance yet to think about phoning

Lamy pen with Parker ink? I was warned by my dealer that the solvent
in Parker 'Quink' inks will destroy most other makers' fountain pens
after a little while by eating away at the seals in the ink path.
I've been following her advice, but it would be good to get some
clarification on this!

It's back. Is there no way to require registration to post, and then
ban anyone who posts junk? That's what I do in the Yahoo! Groups I
moderate.

Hi.
I am using "wooden" highlighters in my Moleskines and not "wet"
highlighters. They are from Faber-Castell and are called "Textliners
Dry" and are available in all sorts of colours.
The advantage is for me that they are not bleeding or shining through
on the next pages which I found very annoying using the normal

I've used both the Seasons Greetings and the rose-scented ink from
Montblanc and they dry quickly and don't smear. I don't know about the
regular Montblanc fountain pen ink, as the two I've tried were gifts.

I like the bible highlighter suggestion - I think I'll try that.

Because most Bibles are printed on very thin paper, highlighting
pencils are often sold in Christian bookstores. Steadler even markets
their pencils as "Bible Highlighters". There are many different
colors, sizes, and shapes to choose from. If you're in a North
