New MOLESKINE SOFT LARGE RULED NOTEBOOK

Hi,

I have just ordered a new set of Large Moleskine Notebooks with Amazon
(they are still the cheapest there) and in return I got an email from
Amazon, informing me about the new MOLESKINE SOFT LARGE RULED NOTEBOOK
which will be published in September 07 and if I would like to pre-
order them.

Did anyone hear of them before? There is no pictures available yet on
Amazon. Feel free to check the website:

I could not find any information for these on http://www.moleskine.it/eng

I am wondering what cover this is; presumably the same as the soft
cover 18 months planner ...? So I am wondering if I should cancel my
order for the hardcover and wait for another week or so, especially
since the seem so much cheaper too with £ 4.88 vs £9.37 for the
hardcover.

Any thoughts?

I'm even more intrigued by the "soft extra large" notebook. Could
this be like the extra large cahier, except with a sturdier cover and
no detachable pages. If so, I'm in heaven!

Is there any more information on this notebook?

I got some info from a moleskine distributor that this is a new line
of moleskine. I guess they are quite like the current moleskine
planners/diaries but without the date on the pages. They are only
avaible in 2008 here in Hong Kong. Anyone can get some pics, plz post
them.

I got one of these soft cover Moleskines today.
They are just like the classic notebooks, only less pages (192 in the
large one, the hardcover books have 240) and the flexible cover of the
planners. I've seen them in ruled, squared and blank, but that may not
have been the whole line.
I've had one of the last packs of the Volants and liked them, but I
like the new soft cover Moleskines even more.

antigone, where did you see these? Ever since I first saw the pre-
order on Amazon I've been desperately searching - Amazon keeps pushing
back my estimated despatch dates - and can't find these anywhere,
online or in high street stores. Please, please! Where did you manage
to get them!?

DanielEdwards, it was just by luck that I found them in a bookstore -
in Germany. Haven't seen them online yet, but they HAVE to be
available somewhere.
It's uncommon for a new Moleskine product to show up that unnoticed...
when the watercolor notebooks came, everyone was talking about them
for weeks before anyone could get his hands on them!

Here's a site in France carrying the new soft notebooks. Wish they
had more pictures, but it looks like the soft-cover agenda/planner,
just with blank, ruled or squared pages. I'm intrigued by the nature
of the back pocket, however, and whether it is an improvement over the
pockets in the soft-cover planners.

I got a large Daily Planner from Moleskine.us. It's great but, I have
to wait until Jan 08 to use it. I get all my moles from
moleskine.us...try them.

Thanks for mentioning that you buy all your moles from moleskine.us... this is the exact source I use.

Last year I purchase enough to have a few extras. However that said, my present concern is that I need to restock and I have read a few entries regarding either a "change" or some sort of issue with the quality of the outside material on the pocket sized ruled notebooks. This model is the one I use, and would hate to get some sub standard product, after enjoying these that I have.

Do you have any insight on this potential issue (if it is indeed an issue) ?
