this bussiness of printing of money and reditrubution of wealth and

more disasterious road of greed corruption, unacountability and social
chaos, anarchy and social collapse.i only hope iam proven very wrong

lives for good and positive changes.as a student of history i would

dear buddhapest, errr, 'spath! ;-)
Many of us knew long before the election how BO was going to
govern...and in almost every way he has been entirely predictable.
As to your apparent idealistic side, there would have been no chance
in his being elected if he had advocated all that you hope for nor
could he make many such changes if he wished. While 'we' (society) are
on a path...hopefully towards enlightenment, those who know have very
little hope that it will happen quick enough to save humanity...here
I'm talking about being able to live, not just a society.

...in fact, here is an interesting take on BO and current USA goals.

Welcome Buddah's Path

i only hope iam proven very wrong << BP

i would love to be wrong. << BP

You just rest nice and easy now Buddas Path and sleep well, for what
you hope for and what you love have come true, You are Very Very
Wrong!

There is nothing new about New World Order and Obama has nothing to do
with it. The use of the term "New World Order" that had the most
influence on the fears of contemporary conspiracy theorists can be
found in U.S. President George H. W. Bush's 11 September 1990 "Toward
a New World Order" speech to a joint session of Congress, in which he
described the United States' objectives for post-Cold-War global
governance in cooperation with post-Soviet states:

"Until now, the world we’ve known has been a world divided – a
world of barbed wire and concrete block, conflict and cold war. Now,
we can see a new world coming into view. A world in which there is the
very real prospect of a "new world order". In the words of Winston
Churchill, a "world order" in which "the principles of justice and
fair play ... protect the weak against the strong ..." A world where
the United Nations, freed from cold war stalemate, is poised to
fulfill the historic vision of its founders. A world in which freedom
and respect for human rights find a home among all nations. " George
H. Bush

As a student of History, I'm sure you would enjoy reading more than
just that excerpt, read more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_World_Order_(conspiracy_theory)

Critics of New World Order conspiracy theories accuse its proponents
of conspiracism: a paranoid world view that centrally places
conspiracy theories in the unfolding of history, rather than social
and economic forces.

Sleep Well on Buddah's Path!

I would ask why the fear, what is it you fear, and how do you think
Obama will bring it about?

In short, what is it about his polices that make you think we are
heading down such gloomy road?

Slip, I'm curious what your vision of a new world order would be
like. I have one and consider it to be a positive and even life
enhancing social milieu. What I don't understand is the stringent
right wing opposition to a world that is connected and operating under
a similar set of principles, guidelines, rules and laws. It is clear
-- to me at least -- that as much as I favor the concept of a free-
market economy and a society based on such an endeavor, regulation is
necessary to prevent the exact sort of abuses that have brought us to
our present crisis. It's a tricky balance to maintain sufficient
regulation to prevent abuses and still keep the market place free and
open but I think we are easily up for it.

Most right-wingers I know -- and there are plenty out this way --
decry any form of caring for each other, insisting on the primitive
law of the jungle that dictates those who cannot make it on their own
should be left to die, and shouting the destruction of their freedom
and liberty to the rooftops. Freedom and liberty to do what?
Brutalize each other? That seems to be their platform.

Of course I have a feeling that Bush's New World Order would be more
of a right wing sort of dictatorship rather than an order with a
social conscience and sense of responsibility to and for each other.

Gruff, very agreeable vision of a New World Order !

So, what's new, for us here ? Here, in India, the polity has always
favoured a ' mixed ' economy, as against being capitalist or
socialist. However imperfectly it has developed over the last 60
years, I believe the resulting governance system has had such
regulatory checks in place that have enabled the country to avoid much
of the direct effects of the current financial crisis.

Vam, I feel very positive about your country in its current direction
and for the future, barring any nasty upstarts with Pakistan and
Kashmir. Indian has definitely moved into the capitalist free-market
milieu in the past few years and offers the global market top quality
engineering and technology, a range of merchandise and goods spanning
the quality scale and a significant place in the global economy.
Socially India appears to be shedding it's debilitating caste system
and prejudice against women but is still bound tightly by its
prejudices against other-than-the-norm sexuality -- something of a
contradiction given that there seems to be a large number of gay men
(I don't know about lesbians), though I think the latter will soon be
replaced with more tolerant attitudes and practices. And though
India's democracy is rather messy, it is nonetheless a stalwart
democracy as well as being the world's largest all of which adds to
the global trend toward more meaningful society among people. In my
humble opinion, I think India will wind up being one of the top major
economic powers in the world.
