Hay guys,

I looked into getting a banner for the club. I got three quotes from local sign/banner makers and the cost is between $65 and $102.

Attached is the "DRAFT" design i sent them. It would be 2.5 feet by 4.5 feet. A standard foldup table is about 5 feet long and about 2.5 feet high, so we could hang it on the front of the table if we wanted. It would be printed on vinyl with steel grommets in the corners.

Do we want to do this so we have a banner for the Maker Faires, etc..? If so, how do we pay for it? Pitch in $5 or $10 each?

This is something that was mention at the last meeting and i just wanted to throw it out there.

Rod,

I like the design but I'm pretty sure that the tables are usually 8'
long and only 29" tall. Would it be possible to rework it into a 2' x
5' or 6' foot design so that the banner does not touch the floor?

The price also seems a bit high to me. Did you look at esigns.com? -
2'x5' 13oz vinyl $29.99 or 18oz for 47.99 + 10.00 UPS shipping. It
would probably make sense to just go with the cheaper vinyl.

thats fine. The design is just draft. i wanted to just get an idea. I think it would be good to have a sign at the maker faires, etc..

I think that looks great. Anyone else have any input?

IIRC, the banner would cost $29.99 plus $10 shipping. Is that correct Rod?

Is any one else willing donate some $$$ toward the banner? Every
little bit helps.

at esigns.com its $23.99 for a 2'x 5' banner plus shipping. A 2' by 6' is $29.99.

If we could get seven or eight members to pledge $5 each that would cover it.

Please respond to this thread if you'd be willing to pledge $5.
