Suzette,
The best tip for this time and always, is building the relationship.
Make that relationship work for you during good times & bad.
If you don't have a relationship with your suppliers, then you won't get
much.

Everything else is icing after that!

Yes, but the article suggested that they were relying on their regular disaster planning, which one would assume / hope includes the ramifications (e.g. availability of human and other resources) of disease outbreaks in their threat assessment of possible disasters.

Anyone remember Braniff? The psydelic hot pants 3 inch heals and the tops
were so tight I do not know how the attendants could work. The plane
interiors were also psydelic.

PSA was a west coast based airline. Their outfits sound similar to your red
ones. And yes, heels were mandatory then. I guess when there was a shift
to male flight attendants and they didn't have to look like skinny models,
they moved away from the 'sexy' outfits.

PSA was a great airline but was bought out by US Air. Southwest Airlines

I don't remember PSA, but I worked for New York Air and our first
uniform was red (shinny, stretchy) hot pants with a red "I dream of
Jeannie" overall as an alternate. I don't even need to mention that it

Ah, does anyone else remember the days of PSA and the flight attendants
wearing hot pink/orange hot pants? Why should I care what the flight
attendants wear, except that if they are wearing designer fashions, then I'm
thinking I'm paying higher fares because of it.

I thought the psychology was that the look of the uniforms went hand-in-hand
